It is with regret that the club announces the resignation of our Coach Paolo Di Paola, for personal reasons.

Paolo, the Age Development Squad Head Coach, is one of the most highly qualified and respected coaches in the country, and has been with the club for many years. He will be a huge loss to the club as he is very popular and well regarded by swimmers, parents and fellow coaches alike.

The club wishes to thank Paolo for all his time, effort and dedication which has resulted in success for all our swimmers.All of us at Aer Lingus Swim Club, wish him well for the future and success in his endeavours.

The search for Paolo’s replacement is currently underway and the club will provide an update in due course.

Further to Paolo’s resignation on Tuesday, the following arrangements have been put in place;

• All ADS sessions are now to be taken by Jon and Annie with the exception of Sundays which will be undertaken by Jon and Rory.

• Annie will be taking Paolo’s B Group sessions.

• The ADS will not be competing in the Leinster Graded Gala but will be entering a Team for the Tallaght Gala instead.

The club has undertaken the search for a suitably qualified replacement for Paolo, however, this may take time. It is the club’s intention to make the right decision rather than a quick decision on this matter.

The committee would like to thank the swimmers, parents and coaches alike for their co-operation, understanding and patience whilst the recruitment process is in place.
