• OLCOS ist eine “Transversal Action” gefördert von der European Kommission unter dem eLearning Programme

• Dauer: Jänner 2006 – Dezember 2007

• Budget: 373.263 € (279.947 € funded EU)

I. Was sind Open Educational Resources?

(1) Learning Content:full courses, courseware, content modules, learning objects, collections and journals.

(2) Tools:software to support the development, use, re-use and delivery of learning content including searching and organization of content, content and learning management systems, content development tools, and on-line learning communities.

(3) Implementation Resources: intellectual property licenses to promote open publishing of materials, design principles of best practice, and localization of content

I. Arbeitsdefinition

Offener, digitale Lehr-/Lernmaterialien sind digitale Materialien (eContent), die

(1) Für Lehren und Lernen eingesetzt werden (online/Präsenz)

(2) Die frei zugänglich, modifizierbar und wiederverwertbar sind und

(3) Konform mit offenen technischen Standards und Formaten sind.

(basierend der Prinzipien von Open Source Software)


II. Projektziele und -philosophie

Errichtung eines virtuellen (online) Information and Beobachtungsservice um

• Das Konzept, • Die Produktion und • Die Nutzung von offenen Lehr-/Lernressourcen

mit speziellem Fokus auf

offenen (e)Learning Praktiken/Szenarien, die offene, digitale Lernmaterialien (eContent) einsetzen.


II. Projektphilosophie

• Fokus ist auf dem pädagogischen Paradigma: Entwicklung von selbstorganisierten Lernen und digitalen Medienkompetenzen für die Wissensgesellschaft

• OER/Open Content ist ein Mittel zum Zweckund dient dem notwendigen Wandel

• Einfaches Anbieten von OER wird den Wandel vom Lehrerzentriertem Modell zum “Wissens-/Handlungszentriertem” Wissenstransfer nicht unterstützen
