1. Commerce Club:

• Commerce club can be formed by Commerce Department.

• It encourages students to take part in various activities of Commerce.

2. Tutorial Groups:

• Tutorial group is for academic work

• It brings the teacher and the taught to solve the problems of teaching and learning.

3. National Cadet Corps:

• NCC helps to inculcate the sense of national security among the students.

• It helps in making students disciplined, cooperative, responsible and true citizen of the nation.

4. School Magazine:

• It develops the writing skills of the students.

• Teachers should encourage students to write on the current issues related to commerce and its branches.

5. School Bank:

Some schools provide training to the students in different banking activities such as:

- Filing of pay-in-slips

- Cheques

- Depositing and Withdrawing cash.

6. Organization of Cooperative Stores:

Students are engaged to carry out activities like:

Planning of order of books, stationery, food items etc.

Purchasing and selling Maintaining of records etc.

7. Cottage Industries:

• Commerce teacher should make efforts to start small scale industry in school where students can learn business activities by doing.

• It makes them self-sufficient as they get salary for their work.

• Binding of books, copies, making of candles, painting, clay modeling etc are some easy tasks which can be performed by the students.

8. Project Work:

• Students are given some kind of project work during vacations so that they get practical experience.

• Project may include doing some work in banks, insurance companies etc.

9. Extension Lectures by Experts:

The persons who are expert and gained experience are the resource persons who give lectures to the students.

10. Debates, Discussions and Competitions:

• Discussions, debates, essay writing competitions should be organized in schools.

• It broadens the mental horizon, thinking, reading and writing abilities of the students.

Students get an idea about the actual working of industrial centers and stock exchanges.

13. Visit to Exhibitions and Trade Fairs:

Students understand the significance of different products and performing of various trade transactions.

14. Junior Red Cross Societies:

This is also common in our schools. These societies provide various types of social services.

This is also practiced in schools.

Students can be taken to villages for:

Helping old and poor people

Village surveys also provide them an opportunity for setting up small scale and cottage industries after completing their studies.
