Who are we ?

The National Center for Scientific and Technical

Research (CNRST) is a public institution under the

administrative supervision of the government

department for research.

Our mission is to enhance and foster scientific research

and technology transfer activities according to the

country’s cultural, economic and social needs.

At the request of the Hassan II Academy of

Science and Technology, this unit set up

monitoring programs to pursue the evolution of

the indicators of development of science and

technology

Each year it provides the academy of sciences

and the Ministry of Higher Education and

Scientific Research with the data concerning the

indicators of the number of publications and the

number of patent, for each field and other

informations related to the scientific research

and innovation

NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF GEOPHYSICS (ING)

The National Institute of Geophysics provides:

• 24/7 national seismic surveillance and alert by

means of a seismic telemeter network

• Seismic prevention and cooperation

•Tsunami surveillance and alert ( the observation

stations are actually under construction)
