Very Important Message About Earbuds &
Headphones for the iLEARN exam
Last week an email was sent out about students being
allowed to bring his/her own earbuds or headphone for
our statewide exam, iLEARN, practice testing will begin
on the week of March 4th and the week of April 1st.
Please Note: We need to clarify that earbuds and head-
phones MUST have a standard 3.5 audio jack. The iPh-
one lightning plug will not work in the computers or tablets
that we will be using for the test.
We are encouraging our students to bring their own ear-
buds or headphones to allow students to be as comforta-
ble as possible while taking the iLEARN test.
Students will also need their earbuds and/or headphones
during the actual test which will run from April 22 - May
17th, 2019.
Please contact Castle North if you cannot provide ear-
buds and/or headphones for your student and we will be
happy to assist you.
Creed is a program that not everybody gets to be
part of. Creed is a reward, and that’s why it feels
so special to get it. A creed card is given to you by
a teacher in which you can pass on to another stu-
dent that will get to pick a special award. You
have the opportunity to bring friends to the sky
box, the creed table, get into a sports game free,
or be first in the lunch line. Whenever I got a
creed card I was really excited because I had never
gotten one before. It was also exciting because it is
so amazing to watch the face of the person who
receives it. Just knowing that you are doing the
right thing makes you feel good. -Macy

3K Run/Walk Event
Thursday, May 9th
In a few weeks, we will be having our annual 3K
event. We would love to continue our tradition of provid-
ing a t-shirt to every student, staff member, and volun-
teer. However, we are only a third of the way to our goal
for t-shirt sponsorships.
If your business or your family would be willing to make
a donation of $300 or more, we will place your business
name or family name on the back of each shirt as a way
of showing our appreciation for your generosity. (In or-
der for us to place your company’s or family’s name on
our shirts, we will need t-shirt donations by April 12th.)
We would like to thank the following businesses and
families for their generosity: Talley Eye Institute, Cook
Orthodontics, and an anonymous donor. This event can-
not happen without the support of our families and com-
munity.
In addition to needing funding for t-shirts, we also are in
need of donations for water, fruit pops, door prizes, and
awards. If you would be willing to offer any assistance,
please contact Mrs. Fussner
([email protected]) or Ms. Killebrew
