Welcome to CMT School of Beauty. We are a newly established training salon

where we are able to provide the highest quality, short term, intensive beauty

therapy training courses. During every beauty course, emphasis will be placed

on practical work in small groups where each student receives a great deal of

individual attention.

You will be delighted at how quickly you learn and how confident

and competent you will feel after just a few days. Since short-term private

beauty courses started, approximately, 23 years ago, the market has changed

considerably. We have a state of the art, purpose designed training centre in St

Austell, equipped with the latest quality products and equipment essential for

courses. The centre will be regularly inspected by verifiers

from our awarding bodies.

Following successful completion of your beauty training all students are

awarded the CMT School of Beauty Diploma, which will allow you to obtain

insurance and start your own business working from home, or as a mobile

beauty therapist. To be employed in a salon or spa you will need to have an

NVQ qualification and we have designed our courses to help you achieve this

level as quickly and as economically as possible.

We also offer a selection of more advanced beauty courses for continuous

professional development in order to add to your repertoire and offer your

clients a more extensive selection of treatments. Whatever it is that you wish

Indian Head Massage concentrates on the areas most vulnerable to tension - the

scalp, face, upper back, neck and shoulders. Treatment can be carried out using dry

hands, oil, floral waters or astringents depending upon the requirements of the

client. Indian head massage is excellent for many stress related problems and can be

carried out over clothes if required. During the treatment, chakras or energy centres

Female Intimate Waxing Training Course

This service is now becoming an extremely popular salon treatment.

Using a fabulous hot wax system , this course will cover the following:

An essential skill for any therapist waxing is the most popular treatment in most

salons. Every 4-6 weeks clients return for another treatment so you have a

continuous source of income. Earn up to £50 per hour working when it suits you!

No previous experience needed to take this waxing course. Hair removal, using wax,

is one of the most popular and profitable salon treatments. Wax depilation provides a

quick and efficient way of clearing small and large areas of unwanted hair. Waxing is

particularly popular during the summer months. This waxing training course will

cover waxing of the legs, bikini line, underarms, upper lip and eyebrows.

NB: To complete this course, students must be prepared

to give and receive the treatment.

Tanning Duration: 1 day




For obvious reasons, tanning is a thriving business in the UK and with the use of an

airbrush; a perfect, flawless tan can be achieved. Airbrush tanning is extremely

popular the whole year through due to its ability to adorn clients with an all-over tan

within 30 minutes and without the fear of skin damage due to UV rays.

approximately 16-20 weeks should be allowed to achieve the NVQ Level

When you have selected the course you wish to study, we will give you a provisional

start and end date for your training. The funding officer will then refer you to

Learndirect who will explain the application process for 24+ Advanced Learning

Loans. If your loan application is successful you will be sent an acceptance letter.

We can then get you started on your exciting journey.

require The CMT School of Beauty Diploma. This will enable you to obtain your public

liability insurance so you can work on the paying public.

The CMT School of Beauty Diploma is recommended for:

Following successful completion of The CMT School of Beauty Diploma, you have the

option to continue to study towards the NVQ qualification.

The NVQ qualification is recommended for:

Those wishing to work in a salon, spa or cruise ship - minimum requirements

are NVQ Levels 2 or 3.

Those wishing to open their own high street premises.

Those wishing to open accounts with premium product suppliers.

Externally accredited qualifications greatly increase your chances of gaining

employment. NVQ qualifications indicate to an employer that you are able to perform

treatments competently and within a commercially acceptable time. These

qualifications are widely recognised by employers looking for skilled therapists in the

beauty industry. In many areas, The CMT School of Beauty Diploma will enable you

to open your own beauty salon. However in larger cities, particularly London, your

local council may require you to hold an NVQ qualification in order to issue you with a

Special Treatments Licence.

The CMT School of Beauty offers a good range of NVQ courses. The Level 2

qualification is similar to a GCSE at A*-C, Key Skills 2, GNVQ Intermediate and

Functional Skills 2. The level 3 qualification is similar to an A Level, GNVQ or Key

Skills 3.

NB: A good comprehension of the English language, both written and verbal is

required to complete a NVQ qualification.
