    EOT System Norm type

    The Norm type telegraph has been designed to be used on board of all types of vessels

    having a remote controlled main engine or pitch propellor. The wheelhouse and engine roomtelegraphs are manufactured in two sizes: 192x192mm and 144x144mm, in accordance withDIN 43700. The instruments have a stainless steel housing and a non-re ective black nish.

    A watertight housing is available for wall mounting applications.

    The telegraph systems are supplied with potential free contacts for data logging (order re-corder) for each command as well as for telegraph alarm, power failure and station on ser-vice (if more then one receiver/transmitter is used).

    To send an order from from the wheelhouse to the engine (control) room receiver/transmitter,the control knob of the wheelhouse transmitter/receiver has to be put in the position corre-sponding with the required order. A visible and audible intermitting alarm will now come intooperation.

    On the wheelhouse transmitter/receiver the requested order is indicated by means of a ash -ing signal lamp, while at the same time a continuously lit signal lamp shows the position ofthe receiver/transmitter in the engine (control) room. In order to acknowledge the requestedorder, the knob should be rotated to the position of the ashing signal lamp, after which thealarm will stop.

    The audible alarm on the wheelhouse consists of an internal buzzer, while for engine (con-

    trol) room a gong or claxon can be supplied.The wheelhouse transmitter/receiver is supplied with dial illumination and dimmer.If required, commands can also be sent from engine (control) room to the wheelhouse.Sketches and wiring diagrams have been added for a standard system with wheelhouse,engine control room and engine room positions.

    EOT System Pushbutton type

    The Pushbutton type telegraph has a row of up to 12 interlocked pushbuttons, mounted inan black anodized aluminium panel size 96x288mm. Each telegraph has a lamptest pushbut-ton, all lamps can be replaced from the top by removing an individual lamp cap. The bridgetelegraph has a dimmer to control the lamp brightness. The audible alarm is generated by aninternal buzzer. For those areas where a higher sound level is required, horns and gongs canbe supplied.

    The telegraph systems can be supplied with potential free contacts for data logging (order re-corder) for each command as well as for telegraph alarm, power failure and station on service(if more then one receiver/transmitter is used).

    Orders are transmitted and replied by pressing the push-button engraved with the required

    order. If pressed, it remains locked in that position and automatically releases the push-buttonof the previous order. When an order is transmitted from the wheelhouse telegraph, the sig-nal lamps inside the corresponding pushbuttons at all locations are ashing and the audiblealarms are activated, giving an intermittent signal. The lamps inside the push-buttons of theprevious order remain continously on. As soon as the order is replied, the push-buttons of thecurrent order will be continuously on and the audible alarms will switch off.

    The push-button telegraphs can be used in combination with the Norm type telegraphs, whichhave a rotary switch rather than push-buttons, and can be supplied in a watertight, heavy dutyconstruction. If required, commands can also be sent from engine (control) room to the wheel-

    house.Sketches and wiring diagrams have been added for a standard system with wheelhouse, en-gine control room and engine room positions.
