LOCATION

The town of Featherstone is located within the county of West Yorkshire approximately two miles (3.2 km) south west of Pontefract. According to the 2011 census the town has a population of just over 15,200. The town is located in close proximity to Wakefield 7 miles (11 km) to the west, Leeds 15 miles (24 km) to the north west and Sheffield 30 miles (48 km) to the south.

Featherstone benefits from very good communications situated in close proximity to the M62 with access via junctions 30, 31 and 32. The A1 is located just 4 miles east of the town with access via the M62 linking Scotland to the south of England.
