ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION

On 21st December 2019, The Students of CMCL Vidya Bharati School, Lumshnong celebrated

their Annual Day Function with great enthusiasm and zeal. The entire school participated

wholeheartedly towards the success of this grand event. The triumph was possible by the

relentless efforts of our Principal – Mr. K Dilip Kumar.

Mr. Mehdi Hassan, Circulation, Northeast, The Telegraph, was the chief guest and Mr. Dhiman

Deb, was the esteemed Guest of Honour for the event. The other dignitaries and guest included,

Shri Tejbir Singh, Administrator, ADM, Shri S.P. Srimali Ji, Unit Head SCL, Shri Devendra Bansal,

Resident Director SCL, Shri Pradeep Purohit, Chairman School, Madam Neetu Bansal, Manager

School, Sir Phervision Nongtdu, Principal, Jaintia Eastern College, Madam Altron and HOD’s of

various departments of SCL. In his speech, honorable guest, emphasised on Moral Education,

responsibility of students towards their parents and also towards the Nation.

The event started off with a Welcome Song by the school choir group. The Panel of Dignitaries

that consisted of the Chief Guest – Mr. Mehdi Hassan, Guest of Honour- Mr. Dhiman Deb, School

Principal – Mr. K Dilip Kumar, Chairman School Mr. Pradeep Purohit, and Madam Neetu Bansal,

Manager of the School, performed the Lamp Lighting Ceremony.

The theme for the Annual Day was ‘Harmony’ which was presented meticulously by students

from grade Nursery to XII. The journey show cased origin of Music and Types of Dances – both

Indian and Western. School’s Annual Report was presented by the honourable Principa l – Mr. K

Dilip Kumar. This included the achievements of the school since its inception and also

highlighted the mile stones achieved during the last academic session.

An extract from Merchant of Venice took the audience to a world before Industrial Revolu tion.

The Chief Guest – Mr. Mehdi Hassan and the dignitaries present were visibly impressed by the

impeccable performance showcased by the students across different grades.

Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by one of the senior most teacher, Mr. Mantun Kumar

Singh. He acknowledged the efforts of the Students, Teachers, and Supporting Staff and thanked

the esteemed guests for their precious time and presence. This was followed by the National

Anthem as a tribute to our nation.

NATIONAL AWARD FOR TEACHERS/INSTITUTION Three of our teachers viz; Mr. Pawan Kumar Singh, Md. Julfikar Choudhury & Mr. Rapellly Nagaraju were chosen for Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission Award. The school has also been awarded the Institution Award on ‘Teachers and Teaching Award-2019’. This is a scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India since 2016. The awardees also participated in the week long workshop at Central University of South Bihar, Bodh Gaya.

CBSE EXPRESSION SERIES ON WATER

CONSERVATION “CBSE had conducted inter-school drawing competition on the various topics of Water Conservation as Expression Series”. From our school 100 students had participated and showcased their talents. Out of them four students of our school got appreciation certificate from CBSE.

SCHOLARSHIP BY DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION

Priyanshu Raj Chauhan and Purushottam Kumar Mehta, who secured 80% and above marks in Class X Board Exam have received award of Rs. 7000.00 each from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner , East Jaintia Hills, Govt. of Meghalaya on 16th December 2019.

TERRE OLYMPIAD (National Level) Ayush Prasad, student of Class-X CMCL Vidya Bharati School has been selected for TERRE Olympiad (National level). TERRE Olympiad is an initiative of TERRE Policy Centre to create and enhance awareness among the youth on the need and importance of a healthy environment and sustainable development through the digital platform.

‘FAST Reading Assessment’ is one of the very few assessments that has tried to assess the learning

levels of children and revealed that the situation in schools is not as favourable as we would like to

VVM (Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan) STATE LEVEL

CAMP Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national program for educating and popularizing science among school students of VI to XI standards. VVM also endeavours to identify the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science. 6 students from CMCL Vidya Bharati School had been selected to participate in the State Level Camp, North East Region.

PRE-CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Pre- Christmas celebration was organised on 17th December. The Students from Pre-Primary Section presented the Christmas Carol. The children in the colorful attire made the event more attractive and the event was enjoyed by everyone.

NASO (National Astronomy & Science

Olympiad)

The 'National Astronomy & Science Olympiad’ is a unique competition which gives an opportunity to

students to explore, research and test themselves in field of astronomy science. The Olympiad was

successfully conducted on the 2nd of December 2019. A total of 81 students from Grade 2 to Grade 9

took part in the competitive exam. This is India's first Astronomy & Science Olympiad aimed at

creating awareness to School Students towards Astro Science. This is the best platform for students

to explore themselves into concepts of Astro Science.

BEST SCHOOL AWARD 2019
