Note:
The Mine Action Planning Unit (MAPU) is a permanent technical support unit to assist the Provincial
Mine Action Committee. The Mine Action Planning Unit shall be nominated by the Governor.

2. Investigation
MAPU/Operators then conduct investigations to ensure that each area selected for mine clearance complies with criteria (intended land use,
beneficiary selection, land ownership, and Technical aspect).

3.District Workshop
Commune Chiefs present their priorities for clearance at the District Workshop (DWG)
Note:The District Workshop is chaired by District chief and officers from the relevant and other stakeholders involved in mine clearance activities in the district

4. Provincial Workshop
MAPU then prepare their proposed pre-clearance work plan for de-mining, presenting to the PMAC, which also hears the views of the de-mining/NGOs agencies on the various priorities.
Note:The composition of Provincial-Municipal Mine Action Committee nominated by the Provincial Governor except for the representative from the Secretariat General of the Mine Action Authority, de-mining operators, and international organizations whose member be appointed by their own organizations

5. ClearanceThe Governor (as Head of PMAC) then signs the Provincial De-mining Plan (sending a copy to CMAA).
