The Social Media Intern will be responsible for monitoring and contributing to social media campaigns on behalf of internal and external clients as well as assist in writing new content and helping shape digital strategies targeted towards the millennial generation. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Assist in the development and implementation of short and long- range public relations and social media plans including goals, objectives, strategies and evaluation tools for internal and external clients Create, manage, monitor and update social media accounts including researching social media content Researching and presenting on new and emerging digital and social media best practices and platforms Assisting in the development of messaging for new and emerging audiences utilizing social media platforms Attend and participate in internal client meetings Assist in planning and executing agency and client events Assist the Best Food Facts team

Placement Criteria

Minimum of a Junior standing in a Bachelor’s or similar 4 year degree program in a related discipline, or Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or suitable combination of education and relevant experience preferred

Extensive knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within social media strategies and channels

Ability to interact and communicate effectively and professionally, and provide exceptional

service, both internally and externally at all times.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice.
