STARTER You have 9 minutes to individually come up with a new and exciting

children's animated TV series. The show should have animals as the

main characters and it will be aimed at 3-6 year olds. This cartoon must

STORYBOARDS - WHAT ARE THEY?A storyboard is a visualisation that is used to plan a moving product (animation, video etc)

It is a plan, scene by scene of how the product will look.

It contains:

• Timings

• Camera Angles

• Lighting

• Setting

• Location

• Props

• Sounds

• What do each of the above mean?

SPOT THE DIFFERENCE

Clearly shows each scene to allow clear planning.

It makes sure every aspect of the video is planned.

Makes the creator think about it from the audience point of view and the message they want to get across.

Allows resources to be available when needed for each scene.

Makes a video reviewable before going into production (cheaper, safer!)

CREATION PROCESSIdentify your scenes needed.

The cartoon should be no more than 2 minutes long and should consist of at least a 2 page storyboard.

Use the storyboard template. Remember what you MUST include in the storyboard.
