Hosted Messaging Cost ComparisonThis report provides a detailed cost breakdown of a customers on-premise messaging infrastructure. This chart and scorecard enables a customer to compare the costs of his existing environment to the cost of a cloud-based alternative. Exoprise has researched & loaded CloudReady with industry standard cost factors. Those cost-factors are completely editable by the customers and providers.

Customers:Detailed cost-estimates based on discovered assets, storage, software and 3rd-party needs. Editable cost-factors are available.

Providers:Detailed cost-estimates to help the customer identify the big-picture TCO comparison. Often, customers have not identified all of the components that make up their messaging infrastructure.

Cost by Organizational Unit

CloudReady Insight automatically collects the OUs (departments) from the messaging infrastructure for a detailed cost breakdown by department. Fixed costs are attributed equally by headcount within a department. Variable costs are attributed to each mailbox and aggregated within the right department.

Customers:Costs by department can be helpful in larger organizations during budget season and to help make the decision about a migration or segmenting the user-base.

Providers:Cost breakdowns by department can be helpful in making the determination of total cost of the customers messaging infrastructure.

Storage AnalysisCloudReady Insight analyzes the the Exchange storage sub-system to provide a complete picture of mailbox sizes, overhead, quota usage and requirements under the various cloud offerings. If quotas are configured, they will be displayed and the quota percentages, number of warnings presented to the user and other quota information will be displayed.

Active Mailboxes vs UnusedCloudReady Insight analyzes each mailbox and the Active Directory records to assist in determining active, inactive and untouched mailboxes. Untouched mailboxes are mailboxes with recent activity (sent or received) but no recent AD login record. Untouched mailboxes have no recent activity. Often, with legacy email systems there are old unused mailboxes that are consuming precious system resources or resource mailboxes that would be better suited to group list management.

Customers:This information can be used to optimize the purchase of cloud-based e-mail for real mailboxes and assist with cleanup prior to deployment..

End-user ReadinessA unique feature of CloudReady Insight is its analysis of end-user usage of Microsoft Exchange. CloudReady analyzes each user's mailbox to determine what features of Exchange and Outlook each user uses. From Outlook specific features to different types of collaboration, CloudReady collects over 300 pieces of meta-data about Exchange usage. For each feature we compute whether the user is a:

● Power User

An advanced user of the system who uses many features of Outlook and Exchange.

● Smart User

A moderate user of the system. Uses some advanced features.

● Simple User

A simple user of Exchange and Outlook.

The weighting of the factors for readiness are editable.
