Clio Cup China Series 2013
✦ FRD introduced the New Clio Cup China Series into China in 2009. This will be our 5th season.
✦ Brought China a new and exciting one-make race series which only requires a reasonable budget.
✦ FRD brought over the New Clio Cup car from France for one simple reason. To offer a technologically advanced touring car at a low cost by keeping all the cars identical. Drivers, and not the budget make the difference.
✦ In order to further keeping the running cost low, all the cars will be exclusively serviced and maintained by experienced crews from FRD.
Introduction
New Clio Cup. Faithfully derived from the production version and designed for single-brand track racing formulas, this version of New Clio is efficient, fun to drive and cost-effective; the new Clio Cup offers an unrivaled price-to-performance ratio in the compact sports hatchback market.
Background of the Clio
With over 750 units sold since 2001, Clio Cup is the only entry-level sports hatchback to have been met with worldwide acclaim. The wide range of usages of Clio’s parts proved that Renault Sports’ technical department has the ability to provide the most cost effective package for customers. The chassis, engines, suspensions, power-assisted braking system and brakes are all taken from the production mould. After some simple adjustments, these parts will be good #t for the racing version of the Clio Cup car.
Background of the Clio
The new Clio RS’s new rear spoiler and roof vents have been designed to be more sporty. This new model also proved its reliability by passing through a 10000km test. New Clio Cup made its track debut in 2006 in three national championships in Germany, Spain and Italy. In 2009, RST introduced the Mk.II version of the Clio Cup racer and it is running in not less than 6 National Championships making it one of the most popular one make car series in the world.
Chassis & Safety ✦ Steel monocoque with bolted roll cage
complying with FIA S2000 regulation
✦ Racing bucket seat with built-in head restraint and six-point safety harness compatible with the HANS system.
✦ Electrically-controlled, automatic #re extinguisher system can be triggered using three electrical controls located at the base of the windscreen, on the dashboard and on the unit located to the right of the driver. Three jets are located in the interior and engine compartment (intake and exhaust manifold).

2013 Provisional Calendar The following Races will act as support races of CTCC
Starting Grids n Race one
The grid is de#ned by the results of the qualifying session 1. The best time will start in pole position of the race one and so on.
n Race two The grid is de#ned by the results of the qualifying session 2. The best time will start in pole position of the race one and so on.
Race Meetings
1 x 30 minutes official Practice
2 x 30 minutes Qualifying
2 x not less than 40km races
Tires Allocation
✦ Limitation on the use of slick tyres .
For qualifying and race for each event of 1 or 2 races, the following maximum tyre quantities will be allowed for use:
‣ 4 new or used front slick tyres
‣ 4 new or used rear slick tyres
✦ Rain Tires
The quantity of rain tires is free.
Sales of tyres will be handled exclusively by Formula Racing Development Limited.
✦ 2013 New Car Price ‣ New Car ex-factory ‣ RMB305,000
✦ Shipment cost ‣ Estimated to be around
RMB20,000. (Delivery from Factory in France to arrive China by vessel, the exact price will be determined by manufacturer’s quotation)
✦ Payment ‣ 50% deposit of new car value
upon signing of car sales contract.
‣ Balance of 50% and shipment cost to be paid 2 weeks before car delivery from France.

RACE COST
✦ Race cost within China ‣ Series entry fee (5 events) : RMB75,000
‣ Series Mechanical support fee : RMB80,000 Professional Technicians who will provide services during the whole season 5 race weekends, such as repairing, car tuning, tyre changing and vehicles’ point-to-point container shipment services, etc.
Monthly management fee for cars being kept with FRD : RMB2,500 (to be paid when the car arrive Hong Kong or China)
Logistic An approved operator from Formula Racing Development Limited will exclusively offer logistic and custom service for all teams / entrants who are joining the series as a group. Formula Racing Development will not make any special arrangement for single entry on the above service. This applies to joining or quitting the group service during mid way or after the season has started. Teams may select their own arrangement and Formula Racing Development Limited will not responsible for any issue caused by this self-arrangement.
