Client Creation : To create a new client

Go to t-code SCC4

Click on edit, the following screen appears

Click on>> new entries (appears on top left of dialog)

And give the desired values as shown in the figure below.

There are four options as below:

1.Changes without automatic recording: whenever you make a change and you don’t want the recording pop-up to come, u can use this option.. In this case, if u want to transport the objects to which u made the change, u have to manually include it in the request via SE01.

2. Automatic recording of changes: In this case, the SAP system will pop-up a small window to enter the request number... it automatically records the changes u r making

3. No changes allowed: No changes allowed for any repository objects in the system

4. Changes w/o automatic recording, no transports allowed.: This setting give usually found in sand box servers... where the data need not be transported to anywhere.

Click on save.Thus a new client is created.

CLIENT COPY

1) Local client copy  To perform the local client copy, first we need to login into the target client ( i,e newly created client) Logging in to the new client:- You may use the following credentials to login into the newly created client.User = sap*Password = pass if you are unsuccessful,then please change the parameter "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar" = 0  in default profile and try logging in again with above credentials.

Enter T-Code SCCLThe following screen appears

CAREFULLY READ THE OPTIONS ANDEnter the option depending on the requirement

Run T Code: SCC3

Run T Code: SM37

Check Background Job

Local Clent Copy successfully done.

2) Remote client copy:

Logging in to the Source client:-

Create the RFC between source and destination client

Tcode: sm59

RFC successfully created.

Logging to new client

User = sap*Password = pass

Enter TCode:scc9

>>Schedule as background

>>Schedule Job

Page 14: Client Copy

>> Continue

Remote Client copy done.

3) Export/Import client copy :-

Go to Tcode:SCC8

Page 16: Client Copy

>> Schedule as Background

>> schedule job

Page 17: Client Copy

Click Continue.

In AL11 you can see the cofiles and datafile for the request.

TCODE: sm37

Go to Tcode: SCC3

Page 20: Client Copy

Go To se01 :

Release transport.

Go To Tcode: STMS_IMPORT

Import the corresponding request “ECPKT00133”

After successful import do the post processing step.

Logging to new client

User = sap*Password = pass

Enter TCode:scc7
