• Under the new funding rules, future apprenticeship funding will no longer go directly to learning providers

• Payment is routed through employers, who will only receive the funding on payment of an employer contribution to the learning provider.

• There needs to be 1 lead provider per apprenticeship

• The Autumn Spending Review is expected to change/ provide more clarity - including details of the “the Apprenticeship Levy”

Funding Arrangements- Interim to April 2017(as at am on the 25th November 2015!)

Expectations of the Autumn Spending review- some industry source predictions!!!

• Apprenticeship Levy on Employers ?% and only recoverable by engaging with an Apprenticeship schemes

• Huge incentive for employers to become involved in an apprenticeship scheme – opportunities for Universities

• Pressure on employers to use Apprenticeship schemes rather than Cadet/Part time or other undergraduate and graduate training schemes

• The CITB Levy grant scheme works well in the construction Industry
