Modi's mantra for legislatorsDuty, duty & duty!P rime Minister Narendra Modi
on Wednesday said, electedrepresentatives should have
one mantra for the next 25 years —“duty, duty, duty” — and conductthemselves as per “Indian values”,while virtually addressing the 82ndAll-India Presiding Officers’Conference (AIPOC) held at theHimachal Pradesh Assembly.Excerpts from his address to thelegislators...
ON DEMOCRACYDemocracy is not just a system but anatural tendency of India. We have totake the country to newer heights, achieve extraordinary goals in theyears to come. These resolutions willbe fulfilled only by 'sabka prayas'. In ademocracy, in the federal system ofIndia, when we talk about 'sabkaprayas', then the role of all the statesis its major foundation

ONE NATION, ONE LEGISLATIVE PLATFORMWe should have a portal that not only gives the necessary technologi-cal boost to our parliamentary system but also works to connect all thedemocratic units of the country. Our policies, our laws should strength-en the spirit of Indianness. The resolve of 'Ek Bharat, ShreshthaBharat' should be there. Our own conduct in the house should beaccording to Indian values. It is the responsibility of all of us
ON QUALITATIVEDEBATESLet’s think of setting a sepa-rate time for quality debate inParliament and Legislative bod-ies — a debate in which dignity, seriousness is fully followed. No one should make politicalslurs on anyone. In a way, itshould be the healthiest timeof the house, a healthy day
The most-popularpassword in Indiais...'password'
I n India, the most-popular password is 'password'and not '123456' as has been widely speculated.Interestingly, Japan is the only other countrythat had the same top password as India, new
research showed on Thursday. According to a newresearch by NordPass, which is a proprietary passwordmanager, predictable numerical and keyboardsequences are particularly popular in India...
Other common passwords peopleuse in India are 'iloveyou', 'krishna','sairam' and 'omsairam', among others Names and loving words wererather popular in India both amongmen and women Some other common passwords inIndia are 123456789, 12345678,india123, qwerty, abc123, xxx,Indya123, 1qaz@WSX, 123123,abcd1234 and 1qaz
1The research alsoillustrated how weakthe top passwords
are, indicating the time itwould take the hacker tocrack that password
2Overall, in India, 62passwords out of the200 can be cracked
in less than a second. That's31 per cent whereas global-ly, the percentage is 84.5 per cent
PASSWORD NOT A TIMEPASS "Unfortunately, the passwords keep getting weakerand people still don't maintain proper passwordhygiene," says Jonas Karklys, CEO of NordPass. "It'simportant to understand that passwords are the gate-
way to our digital lives, and with usspending more and more time online, it'sbecoming enormously important to takebetter care of our cybersecurity,"Karklys added If you found your pass-word on the list, make sure to change itto a unique and strong password, he sug-gested Ideally, use a password genera-tor online or in your password managerapp to create a truly complex one, he said

Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad,Kolkata and Mumbai to mark theWorld Vegan Month observed inNovember. The animal rights organi-sation is targeting several commondairy-industry practices such asseparating calves from their moth-ers shortly after birth, then aban-doning the males, allowing them tostarve, or selling them to be killedfor their flesh and skin since theycannot produce milk.
Calves deserve to stay with their mothers and nurse, yetthis industry commonly casts off the males to die so thathumans can steal the milk intended for them. This World

If your actions inspire others to dreammore, learn more, do more and becomemore, you are a leader -John Quincy Adams
Every person’s actions and thinkingshould inspire and spread positivityin others life. For instance, Martin
Luther King Jr. who led the Civil Rightsmovement in America and foughtfor equality for blacks in Ameri-ca, was called a great leader withhumanity. On the other hand,Adolf Hitler who wanted to bemore powerful than all,
brought war on humanity whichled to suffering and destruction.
Power or leadership can lead humansto achieve great heights. So thinktwice about the consequences of your
actions. We should be like MartinLuther King not like Hitler in ourthinking.

Former world number one Gar-bine Muguruza claimed herfirst WTA Finals title onWednesday, defeating EstonianAnett Kontaveit 6-3 7-5 inGuadalajara, Mexico. Aftertrading breaks early in the
match, the sixth seed Spaniard chipped awayat Kontaveit’s defences to convert on breakpoint in the seventh game, as the Estonian putup four double faults throughout the first set,got roughly half of her first serves in and strug-gled with errors. Playing in the biggest matchof her career, Kontaveit regained her compo-sure in the second set, converting on breakpoint in the seventh game.
But she could not retain the momentum asthe two-time Grand Slam winner refused togive in, firing off a mighty forehand winnerin the 10th game to level the score and keep theset going.
DREAM COME TRUEMuguruza, who won nearly 70% of her first-serve points across the entire match, againbroke Kontaveit’s serve to clinch the affair, crumpling to the court with her hands overher face before greeting her opponent for a hugat the net. “I remember when (WTA CEO Steve
Simon) and I were in the U.S. Open and he toldme that Guadalajara could be a possibility forthe Finals and I was like ‘Oh my God, I have tomake it,’ and look now, we’re here,” said Mugu-ruza, before hoisting the Billie Jean King Tro-phy in front of an adoring crowd.
“For me it was a dream come true to playhere.”
It was Muguruza’s fourth appearance atthe season-ending finals and her first in thechampionship match. Her win gave Spain itsfirst-ever WTA Finals title and will see her endthe year as the world number three. She wonin Chicago last month and defeated CzechBarbora Krejcikova in March’s Dubai final forher biggest title since picking up her secondmajor title at Wimbledon in 2017.
“This is just another proof that I think I’mactually in the best moment of my career,”Muguruza said. “The experience I have now,the tennis, the way I handle myself, I think it’sactually much better than before.”
KEEPING THE MOMENTUMAnett Kontaveit put aside the loss saying themomentum from her memorable end-of-sea-son run would hold her in good stead next year.Kontaveit was ranked 30th in the world in Au-gust but title wins in Cleveland, Ostrava,Moscow and Cluj in the second half of the sea-son catapulted her into the top 10. The 25-year-old Estonian will finish the year with a career-best ranking of seven, according to the WTA.
“I think (this season) def-initely has given me so muchconfidence, so much self-be-lief,” Kontaveit said. “Look-ing forward to just takingsome time to reflect, justthink of what has happenedin the last few months, be-cause I’ve been playingmatches non-stop so therehasn’t really been any timefor that. I think the self-beliefis a big thing, I think you canachieve as much as you be-lieve you can. I think that’sdefinitely what has reallygrown for me.”

Having kicked off the T20Iseries with a win overNew Zealand at the SawaiMansingh Stadium inJaipur, India will now be
aiming to ride on that momentum andclinch the three-match T20I series inRanchi on Friday.
Eyes will be on JSCA Interna-tional Stadium for the penultimateT20I match of the series as Kiwiswould give themselves a chance tofashion a comeback.
India’s first game under the lead-ership of Rohit Sharma and headcoach Rahul Dravid ended with a win, though not without some drama.Chasing 165 for the win, India werein command for three-fourth of thegame but faltered in the death. NewZealand made a spirited comeback inthe game but fell short eventually asthe home side got the win with twoballs and five wickets remaining.
The visitors will hope to contin-ue that spirited performance of thedeath in the remaining parts of thematch. It was the slowish start thatcost them dearly and Kiwis will defi-nitely work on that before enteringthe field on Friday.
For India, the return of Bhu-vneshwar Kumar to form was a reliefto many, while Rohit Sharma, KLRahul, and Suryakumar Yadav gavea glimpse of their ferocious hittingprowess when back on home soil. Forthe second T20I match, eyes will bealso on Venkatesh Iyer to see if theall-rounder rolls his arm over or not.

ASHWIN DIFFICULT TO GETAWAY, SAYS GUPTILL
New Zealand opening batter Martin
Guptill has said that Ravichandran
Ashwin has got great control over
line and length and he is very
hard to get away. “He is a willy
bowler, he has got great control
over his line and length. He does
not bowl many bad balls. I do not
remember him bowling many bad
balls throughout his career, he is
very difficult to get away. His
change in pace is so subtle and
well controlled, he is just very
hard to get away,” Guptill said.
Anett Kontaveit
I’m just very happy I proved to myself once again I can be the best, I can be
the ‘maestra’, like how we say in Spanish. That puts me in a very good
position for next year, a good ranking. How can I say? A good energy. It’s just
the payoff for such a long year.My team and I worked hard. It pays off. Just shows
us that we’re doing the right way. A delight to win such a big, big, big tournament,
the Masters, in Latin America, here in Mexico. I think it’s just perfect.
