Requirements start Sunday, March 8 and go through Sunday, May 31. Phase 1 March 8 - April 19(6 weeks) Phase 2 April 19- May 31 (6 weeks)

NOTE: You must pass phase 1 to make it into phase 2. You must pass phase 1 and 2 to be eligible for the trip.

Devotions: Teens can use the Ontrack Devotional Booklets or YouthWalk Booklets provided each month or choose to journal using a blank packet (that is also provided) that would coincide with their daily Bible reading. • 84 days of devotions. A 60 day minimum is required. • 1 point a day for 12 weeks  • Devotions must be recorded in Sunday School • If devotions are turned in more than a week late, they will not be counted.

Sermon Notes: • If you miss for serving in a ministry you get automatic points for sermon notes (on a Sunday morning service) • Digital sermon notes must be printed off before they are turned in. • Sermon notes are not good after 1 week from when the lesson/sermon was given. • 10 points for 1 Sunday morning sermon.  Sunday school, youth group are 5 points each. Sunday evening

will not be included.  • 245 points could be earned (10 points for Sunday morning; 5 for Sunday School; 5 for youth group; 25 pts a

week could be earned.) • 180 is minimum - roughly 15 points a week average 

Use of Binders: • Students are expected to bring binders to church services and youth group. • Sermon notes and missions trip handouts are expected to be kept in binders. • Students have already been given binders. If it has been lost, students will need to purchase a 5 1/2 x 11

1/2 binder

Serving: • There must 7 appearances in a ministry at Ankeny Baptist Church between March 8 and May 31. This is all

or nothing for points.

Church Attendance: • 48 services from March 8 -May 31(Sunday School, Morning Service, Evening Service, Youth Group) • 48 services x 10 pts per time = 480 total points possible • 360 is the minimum  • This is 3 out of 4 every week • Faithfulness to youth group and events is expected. • If a student is more than 20 minutes late, their attendance will not be counted. • What do we do with students on 10:24 Group Sunday nights? We will help them get involved in serving in a

10:24 group. 10:24 group attendance counts towards church attendance not serving because it is a part of our church regular service schedule.

Reading: • At the first training session, students will be assigned a book to read. A due date will also be given at the

first training session. Students will be responsible to purchase the book.

Memory Verses: • One passage a week will be assigned (see below) • Verses will said during Sunday School • All verses are required to be said. • Verses must memorized in NKJV

Self Reference From: • Students will be required to fill out a form that will state student’s testimony, purpose and desire for

attending this trip, current state of walk with God, etc.

Missions Committee Interview: • All students will be required to participate in an interview with the Missions Committee of ABC in April of

2015.

Training Sessions: • You are allowed one excused absence (although you are encouraged not to use it). Session dates are

listed below.

Baptism and Church Membership: • Students are required to be a member of Ankeny Baptist Church (or a church of like faith and practice)

Vacation Bible School: • Student are expected to serve in our VBS June 1-5, 2015.
