“Case Files for Family Medicine is quite weak but is required reading for the Clerkship. Read the Ambulatory Medicine, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal sections of Step-Up. The questions are very helpful.”

“The Pocket Medicine is great to carry with you on rounds. Try and get through most to all of the USMLE World questions for Internal Medicine. This was absolutely the most helpful resource for the exam. Read quickly through Step-Up after doing questions. It will help to solidify the key concepts. MKSAP is great too and I suggest taking a look at these questions as well.”

“This is not a shelf exam, it is an exam given by the Neurology Department. Only study the Neurology Notes and you will do great.”

Lange Q&A Psychiatry

“First Aid is used universally. The USMLE World questions were good. Lange Q&A was very extensive, impossible and time consuming. Only do these if you have time. I don’t know if there really is a single good source.”

“Carry Surgical Recall. Pimping question come right out of it. You truly only need the Kaplan lecture notes, the audio lectures that follow along with the lecture notes, and USMLE World questions for surgery. I’ve listed pretest, but this is really unnecessary. Contrary to popular belief, also doing NMS Surgery Casebook, First Aid, and reading Lawrence is overkill. If you work with Dr. Dayton, read the GI section in Lawrence.”
