Spiritual Communion My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy
Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You
into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually
into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and
unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.
no puedo recibiros sacramentado,

MISSION STATEMENT The Mission of St. Anthony Parish is to
welcome, nurture and go forth to serve, in the name of Jesus.
VISION STATEMENT St. Anthony Parish will meet individuals of
diverse backgrounds where they are in their journey, welcome them into our parish
community, and through communal worship, formation, and opportunities to serve, invite them to
grow in their relationship with Christ, with one another, and with our parish community.
Together, we will strive to meet the challenges and wounds of life and help to nurture the spiritual
development and faith of all who come. We will continue to build on the foundation of our faith and our parish community for future generations and become a
beacon of light, hope and faith to all.

St. Anthony Update Hello everyone! We hope you are all well and wanted to give you an update of what’s going on at the parish.
It appears the first phase of opening the state will begin soon. Churches however, are not part of this first phase. Like you, we are excited to open the doors of the church again however, we understand there is much involved in making sure that we are following the correct guidelines in keeping everyone safe. As soon as we receive directives from the Diocese and guidelines in accordance with local and state regulations and those from the USCCB we will let you know. In the meantime, please note that all events that were scheduled are currently suspended until further notice.
We also wanted to thank you all for your generous donations of food that are allowing us to assist several parishes in the diocese that are in need. This is only possible because of you. In addition to helping those in our diocese, we want to help those in our parish family like we do at Thanksgiving time. So, if you know of a family in need please email me their information so I can contact them. All information is kept confidential. [email protected]. Thank you!
Finally, in honor of our Blessed Mother, Mary, I am asking if everyone could pray at least 1 Rosary in the month of May. This beautiful and powerful prayer was given to us for such a time as this. I am asking for our Holy Mother to protect our parish family and for an end to this pandemic.
Until we can gather again, please stay safe and God Bless.

Prayers for Our Military Troops
Perhaps you, too, love a service member. Or maybe, because you’ve served in the past or know someone
who has, you understand the sacrifices these men and women make to guard our safety and preserve our freedom. We invite you to join us as we pray for
the men and women who serve.
Almighty and eternal God, those who take refuge in you will be glad and forever will shout for joy.
Protect these soldiers as they discharge their duties. Protect them with the shield of your strength and keep them safe from all evil and harm. May the
power of your love enable them to return home in safety, that with all who love them, they may ever
praise you for your loving care. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

THE REASON FOR OUR HOPE
“What is the reason for your hope?” Imagine somebody coming up to you and asking you that question. Not “What are you hoping for?” or “What are you hoping to do?” No, this isn’t about our desires for possessions or aspirations for life, it’s “Why do you hope?” Peter today tells us that we ought to be ready to give an answer to this question. Truth be told, few of us spend much time thinking about why we hope. Luckily, the scriptures today give us our answers. We hope because Christ suffered for us, in order that we might come to God. We hope because we know that, in the Spirit, God grants us another Advocate through Christ to remain with us always. No matter what we might hope for, whatever we might hope to do, we must always first know and proclaim the reason for our hope: the presence of God in Christ, with us through the power of the Spirit.

Background sa Pagbasa ng
"isa pang Tagataguyod." Si Jesus mismo ang unang

MASS TRANSIT
May 17, 2020 - 6th Sunday of Easter Acts 8:5-8, 14-17 • 1 Peter 3:15-18 • John 14:15-21
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate to be with you always, the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot accept, because it neither sees nor knows him.
But you know him, because he remains with you, and will be in you.” -John 14:16-17
Jesus has said and done everything possible in the last few weeks in the Gospel readings to show his disciples, and all of us, how much he loves us and wants us to follow him. He loves us so much that he assures us that he will even
send us a special helper to keep us on track, the Holy Spirit (some mes called the ‘Advocate’). He needs us to
help everyone around us to understand who Jesus is through our words, and ac ons. It can be hard to do that just on our own. Even the disciples couldn’t do it on their
own. It’s a good thing God sent us the Holy Spirit!
Father in heaven, please make our hearts open to receiving your Holy Spirit so we, too, may proclaim to the
world that you are our savior.
What are some ways we can share Jesus with others?
