Built for light environments, the CD8866 Thin Client offers the latest technology inside a compact, ruggedized,metal enclosure, optimized for 24/7 operation in challenging ambient conditions. Engineered for reliability and longevity,CD8866 Thin Clients include advanced passive cooling with no moving parts to eliminate all the noise and heat from the work area, and to protect the unit from debris, moisture, and dust entry. Supported temperature ranges from -20 to 85 º C to withstand high temperatures in enclosed spaces like kiosks, industrial controllers, and digital signage. The CD8866 Thin Client demonstrates ultimate flexibility by offering multiple mounting options that include VESA, wall, and Din Rail mounts. It represents a modern remote access client for organizations -healthcare, financial services, state and local government, kiosk applications, digital signage, enterprise desktops, and others. The option to choose from multiple OS (Cloud Desktop OS, Windows 10 IoT, and Linux) provides versatility on every level. Enterprises can leverage the CD8866 Thin Client to complete the move to the cloud, select the right performance configurations for users’ workstyles, and centralize IT management in complex environments.
The CD8866 Thin Client offers vast I/O options for the latest VDI solutions. It integrates mSATA storage, up to 4 GB DDR3L RAM, one HDMI port and one VGA port for dual displays (up to 1920x1080 resolution), three USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port. Additional I/O features consist of audio input and output ports and one serial port (RS 232/485) for sensors and legacy devices. Forward-looking features include six Gigabit Ethernet ports (RJ45) for fast data transfer speeds to accelerate workloads and a built-in firewall that protects data and assists in complying with regulatory mandates like HIPAA. Applications and sensitive corporate data remain safe with a secure data center and embedded protection, and pass-through authentication simplifies access to systems. Plugging CD8866 Thin Clients in through IP phones allows users to easily connect back to their VDI workstations. Enterprises can enable remote connectivity to a variety of applications and peripherals with USB, RJ45, HDMI, and VGA ports.

Cloud Desktop OS and Cloud Desktop ManagementClearCube Cloud Desktop OS is a minimal-footprint operating system option for ClearCube thin clients. Deployment options include installing Cloud Desktop OS locally, or network booting for Zero-Client-like security. Cloud Desktop OS comes with support for Citrix HDX, VMware View, Microsoft RDP, and a wide range of terminal services and virtual desktops. This efficient operating system enables administrators to centrally-manage secure and virus-proof thin clients that can connect to hosted desktops, cloud-hosted desktops, or centrally-hosted applications out of the box.
ClearCube Cloud Desktop Management is a browser-based administrative tool that helps IT manage, configure, and update thin clients from one place. Features such as Real-Time Monitoring & Tactical Overview, Job Scheduling and Asset Management, and Peripheral Inventory take the burden out of managing devices on your network. Administrators can run Cloud Desktop Management from a Linux®-based appliance or install it on 32- and 64-bit Windows operating systems.
