Call for Proposals for Innovative Renewable Energyand Carbon Capture and Storage Projects

The NER300 programme will use proceeds from the sale of 300 million emissions allowancesunder the New Entrants Reserve to invest in commercial demonstration projects ofcarbon

dioxide capture and storage (CCS) and innovative renewable energy technologies.

UK Start-up Funding Programme

Greensand Ridge Rural Business Fund

The funding for rural businesses is provided by the Greensand Ridge Local Action Groupwith funding through the Rural Development Plan for England and the European

Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD). A total of1.5m is available for

investment in start-up and existing businesses in the Greensand Ridge Programme area(covering rural parts of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire).

Oregon Wave Energy Grants

Oregon Wave Energy Hydropower Grants

Recently OWET announced an industry matching grant program for developing wave energyprojects in Oregon. The $500,000 matching program is available for developersinterested in getting projects in the water off the Oregon Coast.

The program has been divided into two funding pools: $300,000 for commercial scaledevelopment and $200,000 for feasibility studies. Funds will be available untilApril 30, 2011or until all funds have been committed.

The Low Carbon Skills Fund is provided by Skills Development Scotland with funding throughthe Scottish Government and the European Social Fund. The fund has been established to
