Pet urine stains and odors are extremely difficult to remove. As you can see from the diagram to the left, it usually penetrates carpet, through the carpet backing and padding and into the subfloor. Most pet urine stain and odor treatments usually require a series of steps and treatments to completely eliminate the problem. First, you have to the kill the odor causing bacteria at the source, then neutralize the stain and any yellowing that may be present and then, finally, sanitize and rinse the affected area. Un-Duz-It Unleashed has a unique formulation that accomplishes all of this in just one step. Unleashed uses oxidizers with enzymes and odor encapsulants to instantly breakdown malodor molecules in the air and digest urine salts, proteins, stains, feces and other organic materials. One step does it all! When using this system, it is essential that Unleashed penetrates the carpet, backing and padding and reaches into the subfloor. A standard pump-up sprayer will not suffice. We recommend the ISP Pro Sprayer from Independent Power Sprayers. The IPS Pro’s adjustable gun can control flow and pressure up to 90 PSI—more than enough to reach deep into the subfloor.

The final step is to simply use a sub-surface extraction tool extract the solution, thereby removing the source of the odors and stains. Sub-surface extraction is used by professional carpet cleaners to thoroughly remove contaminants, liquids, and odors that have soaked into carpet padding and upholstery.
