Dasic Marine Gas Freeing Fans have two key benefits which
ensure that Gas Freeing is carried out in the safest and most
efficient manner. Firstly, each fan is uniquely designed to direct
the airflow as a core to the tank bottom, reducing the risk of
vapour pocket build up within the tank. This significantly reduces
the time spent gas freeing. Secondly, as a safety measure, for
water driven fans the water flow path is deliberately designed to
be external to the air flow path. This effectively reduces the
chance of water entering the air stream creating a mist in the tank
which has the potential to be statically charged.

Dasic Marine were early pioneers of producing Double Nozzle
tank washing machines as opposed to the Single Nozzle
approach. Double Nozzle machines provide significant benefits
including:
•• Lower overall operating costs
•• Faster, more effective tank washing
•• Shorter vessel turnaround times
•• Higher reliability
•• Improved cargo turnout with COW regimes
Both types of machine cost approximately the same to buy and
install, but reduced maintenance costs and higher reliability
result in lower overall lifetime costs for the Double Nozzle
system.
The wash pattern of a fixed Double Nozzle machine covers the
whole tank in 1/4 of a cycle. This rinse-wash is often adequate
for many applications including chemical tanker pre-wash. For
COW applications, bottom washing can be completed in around
20 minutes with the advantage of the whole tank having a broad
clean due to wash down. In all cases the tank bottom is where
most of the sediment accumulates. This is effectively impacted
by a jet twice with every revolution of a Double Nozzle machine,
in comparison to the single jet path of the Single Nozzle machine
per body revolution.

The Dasic Model A Mark II tankwashing machine is the 2nd generation of thesuccessful Model A machine and offers a similar capacity. Over 45,000 units ofthe original Model A machine have been manufactured since 1968 with a goodnumber still in service today.
Key enhancements for the Model A Mark II include a new automatic 4-stage washcycle.The 1st cycle of 20 minutes will give a 360 degree coverage of the tankwith a broad based diamond pattern.The 2nd cycle of 20 minutes will also give a360 degree tank coverage with an intesified resultant pattern.The 3rd and finalcycles, each of 20 minutes, give even more intensification to the wash patternuntil the fully compacted pattern is complete. A major advantage with this systemis to allow a time-efficient COW procedure giving the operator the option tochoose the degree of wash intensification they feel suits the in-tank condition.
The Dasic Model A Mark II can be mounted under the deck-head by means of theDasic Downpipe, which fits into a standard size tankwashing opening, or the unitmay be mounted at mid height or bottom mounted in an inverted position andsupplied by a pipe, normally 80 mm nominal bore.

The Mini A is a pre-programmed double nozzle machine capable of operating aspart of a permanently installed system for water/crude oil washing or as aportable unit being supplied by a 50mm (2") bonded hose.
A range of nozzle sizes is available to comply with your specification for jet lengthand fluid throughput A choice of three cycle speeds can be factory preset intoeach machine to ensure thorough and complete coverage of all sizes of tanks.
The drive mechanism of the Mini A enables operation to commence at very lowpressures (3.5 kg/cm2 - 50 psi) therefore making it ideally suited to not onlyconventionally equipped vessels but also to dry cargo carriers using water fromthe fireline.

To tailor the system to your needs we are able to supply the machine in one oftwenty-four variations, from a fast rinse/low fluid throughput to a long thoroughwash/high fluid throughput. The unit may be used in conjunction with the DasicDownpipe as part of a permanently installed system. Alternatively as a portablemachine when used with our Layflat Tank Washing Hose it becomes one of thelightest cleaning combinations available.

Dasic Marine’s Layflat Hose has been introduced to compliment the already widerange of Dasic accessories. It is designed to provide a lightweight alternative to thetraditional rigid hose for both tankwashing and gas freeing applications.
Its unique light weight substantially reduces crew workload while retaining allexisting performance and safety aspects.
Manufactured with a fully woven polyester reinforcement and completelyencapsulated with a thermoplastic elastomer (polyurethane), the hose provideshigh pressure capabilities together with excellent resistance to attack by fuels,chemicals, abrasion, weathering and ozone/u.v.
Two low resistance stainless steel bonding wires are incorporated to eliminate thebuild up of static electricity.

The Junior Jetstream D-4000 has been introduced to meet the demands of theincreasing size of Chemical and Product Carrier tonnage. The D-4000 utilises thewell proven operating characteristics of the ‘Jetstream’ range ensuring that areliable and effective wash program is achieved.
All main components of the D-4000 are manufactured in Stainless Steel (AISI316) whilst all seals and gearing are manufactured in resilient materials ensuringcompatibility with a wide range of chemical/product cargoes.
Operation of the D-4000 machine, like all our Jetstream range is a simple matterof opening a valve – the washing process is completely automatic with no need toinvolve ship’s staff in labour intensive program settings. The D-4000 can beoperated to suit your cargo handling requirements – from a ‘full tank – quick rinse’to a thorough, intense wash for more persistent cargoes, the choice is yours.
The D-4000 is lubricated by the wash media which removes the possibility ofcargo contamination by gearbox lubricants. A range of nozzle sizes allows themachine to be tailored to suit your particular requirements.
The D-4000 can be supplied as a fixed, permanently installed unit or as a portablemachine.

The Junior Jetstream is the smallest and most versatile of the "Jetstream" family
and uses the same tried and tested operational characteristics.
Manufactured in Stainless Steel (AISI 316) the Junior's body is supplied with a
polished finish to reduce cargo clingage. A mirror finish is also available where
hygiene standards are critical. For additional versatility the Junior Jetstream can
also be supplied in Duplex Stainless Steel (S39205) for pickling and passivation.
Lubrication by the wash media alone removes the possibility of cargo
contamination by gearbox lubricants. A “Full Tank - Quick Rinse” facility is built
into the machine mechanism.
A combination of nozzle sizes and cycle times allows the Junior to be tailor made
to suit particular applications.

The Orbitor TD is a revelation in tankcleaning machine design marrying the “triedand tested” with the innovative to give you a unique product.
Simplicity of design and operation have been key issues in the development of theOrbitor TD, enabling hectic tank cleaning schedules to be maintained.
The fully orbital washing head provides thorough cleaning within the cargo tanksby a single valve operation thereby removing the labour intensity involved in‘program’ washing. A “Full Tank Quick Rinse” facility is built into the machinemechanism.
The main drive mechanism is located on deck away from any hostile in-tankenvironment and has been developed from our well proven ‘Junior Jetstream’ range.
One of the outstanding features of the Orbitor TD is its ability to completely wash thetank with the minimum of water consumption. Typically a full wash can be effected withonly 2.15 cbm in 17.2 minutes at 7 bar with 2x6.0mm dia nozzles. Sub-cycles areeffected on a time basis to give a 360 degree tank rinse-down facility.
The modular construction of the machine ensures ease of maintenance whennecessary and more importantly such work can be completed without removingthe machine from the tank.
Normally supplied as a twin nozzle unit, the machine can be tailored to suit yourspecific needs with a variety of speeds and nozzle sizes available.

The Stainless Steel Orbitor is a self lubricated, self cleaning orbital tank washingmachine which has been developed with the co-operation of a major internationalcompany. Initially aimed at the industrial market, its unique design, and simplicityof operation and maintenance, means it is ideally suited for use in the morerigorous marine environment.
It is a turbine driven machine with the cleaning medium passing through themachine before being delivered by the nozzles as high impact jets. Due to theinternal gearing the high speed of the turbine is immediately reduced allowing thejets sufficient dwell time on the area to be cleaned. It is ideally suited for use withvery hot water and due to its very low starting torque it can be used with lowsupply pressures. A Full Tank “Quick - Rinse” Facility is built into the machinemechanism.
The Orbitor can be supplied as a fixed or portable machine and can easily beutilised as a multi-level unit in Chemical Carriers. This application is an idealsolution for cleaning horizontal corrugations, difficult structures and anywherethat 100% cleanliness is desired. The marine version of the machine will normallybe supplied as a twin nozzle unit but is available with four nozzles should a denserwash pattern be required. The top connection will be standard 1.5” BSP male butcan be altered to customer requirements.

As the latest addition to the ‘Jetfan' family the Jetfan 70 Mark III offers you high
performance gas freeing within a remarkably small but robust unit.
The many years of fan design technology have enabled us to incorporate the very
best features for efficient and effective gas freeing operations.
Crucial to improved gas freeing times is the air flow penetration to the deepest
parts of the tank structure. In common with all our Jetfan units, the Jetfan 70
Mark III directs the air as a column to the tank bottom ensuring a more effective
displacement of the gaseous atmosphere.
Normally used as a ‘blowing’ fan, the Jetfan 70 Mark III can be easily reversed to
enable air ‘extraction’.
The aluminium construction is well suited to the harsh marine environment and

First introduced in 1977 the Dasic Jetfan 125 soon established itself as the most
efficient deep penetration or extraction gas freeing fan on the market.
Unlike products of the time the Dasic Jetfan 125 was designed to direct the air flow
as a core to the tank bottom reducing the risk of vapour pockets being held within the
tank. This unique method of air movement has been used successfully on vessels of
up to 550K DWT tonnes, drastically reducing time spent on gas freeing operations.
Despite its superb performance characteristics, the Dasic Jetfan 125 is light enough
to be easily manoeuvred and positioned by one man when using the purpose built
trolley.
The operation to change from penetration to extraction is similarly a one man
operation and can take barely 10 minutes to perform.
The Dasic Jetfan 125 is designed to operate using water as the drive medium, being
the most cost effective method. We can also supply the Dasic Jetfan 125 using two
alternative drive mediums, Air or Steam allowing you to decide on the most practical
ventilating system for your circumstances.

Jetfan 65 has achieved world-wide popularity by offering excellent ventilating
capabilities for small to mid tonnage vessels.
The rigid but lightweight all stainless steel construction ensures that the Jetfan 65
is totally portable and capable of being used in virtually any location, making it
ideally suited to vessels with severely restricted deck space.
The Jetfan 65 is operated by compressed air enabling it to be used not only for
general tank gas freeing but also the ventilation of confined spaces such as
cofferdams and double bottoms for inspection and repair work.

Under normal gas freeing operations the Jetfran 125 does not require flexibleducting to perform its function effectively. Nevertheless, in certain tasks such asventilation of void spaces, cofferdams may need an airflow to be directed aroundobstacles.
Dasic can provide lightweight, yet rugged and hard wearing ducting to solve theseproblems.
The ducting is constructed with a solid wire helix to maintain its diameter andensure an effective airflow, even when used in the most restrictive of locations.
The helix is stitched to a heavy duty vinyl rubbing strip to minmise damage to theducting during use.
To prevent any risk of static build-up during gas freeing operations the entirelength of ducting is electrically bonded.
To ensure a secure and stable mounting each length of Ducting is fitted with a TopAdaptor which is designed to allow the ducting to be suspended in a deck openingwhile the Jetfan unit is mounted inside the Top Adaptor.
The end of the Ducting is fitted with a rigid stainless steelring to ensure the diameter is maintained. The ring alsoprovides a fixing point for an integrallifting rope supplied to assist removalof the Ducting.
