Film or Video? The choice of which system is right for you will depend on the type of work you do. For those whose primary work is video based the Video System offers a cost effective alternative to PC based solutions. With the addition of Video I/O it can form the digital workhorse in a video restoration pipeline. With storage optimised for HD playback, preview and review are fast, giving you the time you need to focus on the creative aspects of your work. Fully resolution independent, the Video System can be used for 2K work if this is required. For users who predominantly work at 2K and above the Film System has been designed to provide the data handling and performance needed for this level of work. With increased processing power and faster storage, the Film System can cope with even the most demanding of workloads. With an increasing move to 4K pipelines we have ensured that the PFClean Film System is ideal for this level of data throughput. Turnkey Systems for DI and Restoration With an ever-increasing demand for content, increased expectations in terms of quality and reduced budgets, building fast and efficient pipelines for both DI and Restoration is key to success. PFClean Systems are complete software and hardware appliances designed to work out of the box as either a network attached or standalone device. Designed to quickly integrate into existing pipelines or act as the backbone to a digital restoration facility, PFClean Systems offer unrivalled performance, stability and functionality. Available as the ‘Video System’, ideal for both SD and HD or a ‘Film System’ for more demanding 2K and 4K environments, both are built on a custom 64-bit Linux kernel and a feature fully hardware accelerated version of PFClean software. Why Turnkey? Whilst PFClean is available as software running on all major operating systems, each PFClean System is fine tuned to provide a fully tested and balanced environment. Every aspect of the system, from processors to disc arrays have been tested and optimised to run our software. The hardware- accelerated tools utilise a stream-computing architecture to make use of multiple CPUs to carry out the complex calculations required for image restoration tasks. The resulting speed increase and ability to process huge data sets make working at high resolutions a breeze. With the addition of a number of networking options it is straight forward adding a PFClean system to any infrastructure. Every system leaves configured, ready to be plugged in and switched on straight out of the box. “It has a very quick learning curve, provided us with the toolset we required within a clear user interface and most importantly allowed us to deliver clean scans within time and on budget, it can seamlessly fit in to any digital workflow. Film or Video?

The choice of which system is right for you will depend on

the type of work you do. For those whose primary work is

video based the Video System offers a cost effective

alternative to PC based solutions. With the addition of

Video I/O it can form the digital workhorse in a

video restoration pipeline. With storage

optimised for HD playback, preview and review

are fast, giving you the time you need to focus

on the creative aspects of your work. Fully

resolution independent, the Video System can be

used for 2K work if this is required.

For users who predominantly work at 2K and above the Film System has

been designed to provide the data handling and performance needed for

this level of work. With increased processing power and faster storage, the

Film System can cope with even the most demanding of workloads. With

an increasing move to 4K pipelines we have ensured that the PFClean Film

System is ideal for this level of data throughput.

Turnkey Systems for DI and Restoration

With an ever-increasing demand for content, increased expectations in

terms of quality and reduced budgets, building fast and efficient pipelines

for both DI and Restoration is key to success. PFClean Systems are

complete software and hardware appliances designed to work out of the

box as either a network attached or standalone device. Designed to quickly

integrate into existing pipelines or act as the backbone to a digital

restoration facility, PFClean Systems offer unrivalled performance, stability

and functionality. Available as the ‘Video System’, ideal for both SD and HD

or a ‘Film System’ for more demanding 2K and 4K environments, both are

built on a custom 64-bit Linux kernel and a feature fully hardware

accelerated version of PFClean software.

Why Turnkey?

Whilst PFClean is available as software running on all major operating

systems, each PFClean System is fine tuned to provide a fully tested and

balanced environment. Every aspect of the system, from processors to disc

arrays have been tested and optimised to run our software. The hardware-

accelerated tools utilise a stream-computing architecture to make use of

multiple CPUs to carry out the complex calculations required for image

restoration tasks. The resulting speed increase and ability to process huge

data sets make working at high resolutions a breeze. With the addition of a

number of networking options it is straight forward adding a PFClean

Video I/O

With vast video based archives, many projects start and end their life on

tape. The optional Video I/O module provides PFClean systems with direct

ingest and layoff abilities. Supporting both SD and HD video devices, users

can control a deck from within PFClean and ingest directly into a PFClean

project. With the software’s full re-mastering and format conversion

toolset, video projects become highly flexible with multi-format delivery

options including SD to HD up-conversion.

Networking

With the increase in SAN based workflows flexible network options are

very important. Systems can be configured to support common SAN

environments as well as NAS or simple shared storage. Both systems come

complete with 1Gb Ethernet as standard. Additional options include Fibre

Channel, Infiniband or 10 Gb Ethernet. We will be happy to advise on

network options and configurations.
