Major functions of G.Rack, the optimum server room for IT device management
Ordinary Server Room Server room with G.Rack
· Requires a separate space for managing server & network equipment
· Needs to increase the capacity of precision air conditioner
· Requires a highly priced precision air conditioner
· High electricity costs due to complete cooling of the room
· Hard to prevent the entry of dust completely
· Limited installation of precision air conditioners

Yearly electricity charge About 1 million KRW About 9 million KRW
Saving when G. Rack is used
* Electricity costs are calculated based on an average load rate of 100% and 24-hour operation.
*If constant temperature and humidity are not maintained or dust proofing is not present, data loss in the servers or communication errors in the network devices may occur.
About 8 million KRW
Constant temperature
-High temperature is generated by MIS equipment during operation
-The temperature of the electrical circuits has to be maintained constantly to minimize erroneous operations
Constant humidity
-Excessive humidity promotes the oxidization of metals.
-Low humidity may cuase static electricity and damage to circuit elements.
Dust proofing
-Accumulated dust may cause errone-ous operation of the server & network equipment as dust reduces cooling efficiency and accelerates rise in temperature
-Risk of fire as dust may cause static electricity, sparks, etc.
Inlet of external air
Existing precision air conditioners incur large energy losses as they cool the whole server room down to
reduce the heat generated by the server & network equipment.
In contrast, G. Rack offers high efficiency temperature and humidity level maintenance using low power,
as it is designed to cool down the heat of only the in-rack server & network equipment of which the temperature level needs to be maintained optimally.
This system safely protects the in-rack server and communication devices as the temperature of any spot
inside the rack is constantly maintained, and dust is blocked by the sealing, as the temperature and humidity
of the in-rack server and communication devices are protected by a sealed circulating duct.
Discharge of external air
Sealed circulation of air inside the rack module
Constanttemperature and humidity as well as sealing against dust

Applications of G. Rack
An server room equipped with precision air conditioner, fire extinguishing facility and other subsidiary facilities
is set up to run a massive server system for the headquarters of a national or regional level public institute.
Institutions or offices under immediate control operate a small-sized system with one or two racks to install
a data server for storing data and communication devices to interface with the headquarters for conducting
work.
Frequent system failures occur due to high ambient temperatures and accumulated dust as the system is left
unattended in document storage rooms, meeting rooms, etc., due to insufficient space to set up an server room or
the high cost of investment for the facility of a small-sized system.
Due to inferior device management in institutions or offices under immediate control, a disruption of communication
in a well-equipped government information service or national war command network, etc. is caused, which
leads to work discontinuation, inability to handle an emergency or civil complaints.
Ex) Providential government offices, community centers in Eub, Myeon or Dong, local government offices,
patrol divisions, 119 fire houses, health centers, regional post offices, etc.
G. Rack, an affordable temperature and humidity maintenance and dust proof system for each rack unit,
enables the stable system operation of public institutes, national defense institutes, traffic systems,
financial institutes, schools and business entities by solving the problem of insufficient space when setting
up server rooms, and allows users to maintain optimum temperature and humidity, as well as prevent
dust from entering into the server & network system.
Like public institutes, every bank sets up and manages an IDC or server room at its headquarters.
Branch offices of banks across the nation operate small-scale systems (servers, communication devices,
CCTVs and recording devices), which tend to be left unattended in a temporary room with no precision air
conditioning facility.
Internet disruption occurs due to reduced communication speed caused by overheating and accumulated dust.
Inefficiencies are caused by the work delays of customer service staff.
All of these lead to customer dissatisfaction, which lowers the company’s credibility.
Branch offices of companies, companies in high-rise buildings, and offices in production processes normally
operate a small-sized system with one or two racks after installing a data server for storing data and installing
communication devices, but the system tends to be left unattended in a temporary room, meeting room or
office pantry, causing frequent system failures due to high temperature or accumulated dust.
An office in a high-rise building especially requires a separate dedicated cooling system for an server & network
system in preparation for extra work hours and the shutdown of central air conditioning systems. But, such
cooling system may be not installed since there is no space for outdoor unit of the cooling system and the
difficulty of piping construction.
Railways and subways are operated by signal communication systems that are based on server & network systems.
Devices for signal communication are installed and operated at a communication center at each station.
However, system failures occur due to accumulated dust.
As device failures occur frequently, the signal communication system cannot operate properly, causing failures
in the operating railways and subway trains, and may cause a large-scale accident.

The internal protection safety apparatus is an apparatus enabling a normal operation without any problem on the server or communication devices by forcibly discharging heat generated by the server or communication devices when thermo-hygrostat module of G.Rack becomes inoperative due to power failure or other causes.
The in-rack server of G. Rack can be protected better against a power outage as its RCU (remote monitoring device) and safety device for protecting the inside starts to operate by a UPS. Since the RCU and the safety device for protecting the inside consume almost no power, users do not need to increase the capacity of their existing UPSs.

Safety device
Although computer room and IDC are protected by halogen or CO₂ fire-extinguishing facilites, these facilities are installed outside of server rack, such that it is difficult to perform a quick initial fire extinguishment or a fire diffusion prevention when there occurs a fire in communication device. However, G.Rack Fire Pack is installed inside the G.Rack to enable a quick initial fire extinguishment and fire diffusion prevention when there occurs a fire in internal server or communication device, whereby damage by fire can be reduced (Self power generating sensor)
G.Rack Fire Pack is a fire extinguisher harmless to human as a Fixed Condensed Aerosol fire extinguisher unlike halogen or CO₂ and stored in solid state to be free from leakage unlike the conventional fire extinguisher. Furthermore, it is possible to operate electronic devices or server during operation without any problems. Unlike the conventional fire extinguisher, G.Rack Fire Pack is a fire extinguisher that needs no separate detector or electronic devices requiring electric power, and integrally operates due to self electric generation without any replacement of detector.
