Expected Outcome: Students will be able to 1. Prepare a detailed estimate for different types of structures 2. Prepare valuation reports and cost quality control UNIT I : Analysis of Rates Rate analysis & preparation of bills – Data analysis of rates for various items of works – abstract estimates for Building projects UNIT II : Quantity Estimation for Building Estimation of building – Procedure of estimating, Types of estimates, detailed estimate of buildings including sanitary & electrical fittings. UNIT III : Quantity Estimation for Roads Estimate of R.C.C and Steel works - Scheduling - Slab - beam - column, Road – earthwork fully in banking, cutting, partly cutting & partly filling. Detailed estimate for WBM, Bituminous road. UNIT IV : Valuation Valuation- rent fixation, tenders, - contracts –accounting procedure, measurement book, stores, cost & quality control – PWD & CPWD practice – Software Applications for Estimation of Buildings.
