Good evening and welcome to the Wydown Theatre Company’s spring production o fMary Poppins .

Based on both the series o f children's books by P.L. Travers and the 1964 Disney film,Mary Poppins tells the story o f the disfunctional Banks family, who live on Cherry Tree Lane, in1910. Beneath the surface, though, we find that the story is more importantly about the value o fre-connecting with your spirit, even when life gets you down. Sometimes we need a little helpwith that, and luckily fo r the Banks family, Mary Poppins arrives just in time.

After a successful West End debut, Mary Poppins premiered at the New AmsterdamTheatre on Broadway November 6 , 2006, and ran for an amazing 2,619 performances. Theproduction earned seven Tony Award nominations. I hope that many o f you are excited to seea story that you are already familiar with, and we hear some singing along coming from thehouse!

This production has become what it is because o f the 100+ Company members'dedication. Each and every one o f them has worked extremely hard to bring this production tolife. From singing and acting to sewing and painting, you are about to witness what teamworkis all about.
