Claypit Hill PTO E-Newsletter www.claypithillpto.org June 2010 Congratulations to all of you and your children for completing another great year at Claypit! As we look back on the past school year, the PTO would like to thank all the parents and staff for their hard work and dedication. Claypit is such a great school partly due to the wonderful volunteers we have that are willing to donate a portion of their busy lives for the benefit of our children. This month we have the following people to thank for their time and efforts. Gift Your Child A final thank you to the families who gave to the PTO's Gift Your Child campaign this year. We are pleased with the results as we came very close to achieving our targeted fundraising goal of $75,000. The program was a pilot this year and given its success, we have decided to do it again next year. We'd like to remind you that all elementary school students benefit from your contributions as 100% of the GYC funds we raise go directly toward supporting the Wayland Elementary Schools PTO. Another benefit is the possibility of matching gifts from employers; we received many this year and they do add up! We are hoping for increased participation rates at Claypit next year and we will be looking for your support! As you plan for next year, please budget for this donation now, and be sure to look for our letter in September. If you would like to make a contribution now towards next year's campaign, you can send it to school either via the backpacks or through regular mail to the attention of the PTO. Thank you! 5th Grade Social and School Picnic Thank you to Marcia Privitera and her host of volunteers for the 5 th Grade Roller Kingdom Social and to Gina Verdi for coordinating the Sweet Endings School Picnic.
