Strengths Weaknesses Opportunities Threats

Good reputation in the

community

Lack of information about Clay

Transit: what it is; how to use it;

when you can deviate; and when

to use the TD service vs. the

fixed-route service

Create better connections

with adjacent transit

systems

Lack of coordination with

adjacent services

Low capital expenses and

operating costs

Low number of:

annual unlinked trips

vehicle revenue miles &

vehicle revenue hours

passenger trips per vehicle

mile

Move trips from TD service

to fixed route service

Poor communication with

existing and potential

riders

Routes cover most of the current

economic and population

centers of the county

High operating expenses per

passenger trip

Educate residents about

Clay Transit Funding deficiencies

Buses are too small

Install low-cost

infrastructure (i.e. bus stop

signs)

Funding cuts
