CLAY COUNTY, SD 4-H GUIDELINES February 2019
ANOTEFROMLAUREN Head, Heart, Hands, Health February is the month of Valen ne’s Day and is also American Heart Month. We can use our Heart in 4‐H by caring about others – 4‐H is about belonging and being part of a group. Youth need to know they are cared about by others and feel a part of the group. Your club can help by making members feel they are a part of the group by having ac vi es and ice breaker ac vi es, crea ng a welcoming environment for families, and providing opportuni‐es for youth to interact with each other through 4‐H projects and ac vi es.
If you have new 4‐H families, know of families or friends who might be interested in 4‐H, or just want more in‐forma on about what Clay County 4‐H is about, make sure to check out our Welcome to 4‐H Event. A flyer is a ached with this newsle er.
