Class Rules/Policies/Behavior PlanI would have students copy and sign the

behavior plan and rules at the start of the year and have parents sign.

Always follow school district and school rules.

All rules, expectations and behavior plans would be posted in the room for students to refer to.

All incidences would be documented, signed by the student and teacher, and kept on file.

Students would complete an incident/behavior reflection sheet.

Class Rules/Policies/Behavior PlanStudent exhibits negative behavior. -Give student a verbal warning. Student exhibits negative behavior again. -Student does not earn point, due to not acting appropriately. *Note: If at any time a student becomes physically or moderately-severely aggressive = AUTOMATIC REFERRAL

Student exhibits negative behavior again within 15 minutes. -Direct student to sit at desk for 1min. 30 sec. to regroup with head down. (away from lesson) Once student serves 1min. 30 sec. he/she may rejoin lesson or activity.

If student refuses to sit and take 1min. 30sec. at seat appropriately. -Give student one minute limit to physically move to study carrel to take 5min. *Note: If student exceeds 1min. limit. to move to carrel = AUTOMATIC REFERRAL. Once the student is in the study carrel he/she needs to sit appropriately for 5 minutes on a timer. -Allow student a limit of 15min. to begin their five minutes. *Note: If student exceeds 15min. limit. without beginning 5 min. = AUTOMATIC REFERRAL. Once the student is ready to begin the 5min. they owe the 5min. plus the time it took to begin 5min. (EX. Johnny sat at study carrel and took three minutes to decide to begin 5 min. Johnny now needs to sit quietly at the study carrel for 8 minutes. 5+3 = 8 *Note: Once student begins 5min. they can only misbehave for a total of 1 min. If they exceed that 1min. limit. = AUTOMATIC REFERRAL. Escalating Protocol Travis/George
