Quick Tips for Using Maps101 in Your Classroom THE BASICS: LOGGING IN: •  Go to www.maps101.com •  Enter your Username •  Enter your Password •  Remember usernames and passwords are case sensitive USING MATERIALS ON MAPS101: All the materials available on Maps101 are formatted for a variety of  classroom needs including projecting in the classroom, emailing, printing  and placing in a PowerPoint presentation. Material is formatted so it  can be projected in the classroom directly from the Maps101 website.  It can also be downloaded as an image file or PDF and emailed to  students for homework purposes. PRINTING: Download the map you would like to print by clicking on the “Download  PDF” link (usually below the map), and the file should appear on your  desktop, or the location where you have pre-set your browser downloads.  Double-click the PDF to open it in Acrobat Reader, and then go to File on  the menu bar and choose Print. PLACING A MAP INTO A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION: Right click on the image of the map you want to use. You can then save  the file to your computer. It will be saved in a GIF file format, which you  can then insert into your PowerPoint Presentation. Quick Tips for Using Maps101 in Your ClassroomThe BasiCs:

Logging in:•  Go to www.maps101.com•  Enter your Username•  Enter your Password•  Remember usernames and passwords are case sensitive

Using MaTeriaLs on Maps101:All the materials available on Maps101 are formatted for a variety of classroom needs including projecting in the classroom, emailing, printing and placing in a PowerPoint presentation. Material is formatted so it can be projected in the classroom directly from the Maps101 website. It can also be downloaded as an image file or PDF and emailed to students for homework purposes.

prinTing: Download the map you would like to print by clicking on the “Download PDF” link (usually below the map), and the file should appear on your desktop, or the location where you have pre-set your browser downloads. Double-click the PDF to open it in Acrobat Reader, and then go to File on the menu bar and choose Print.

pLaCing a Map inTo a powerpoinT presenTaTion: Right click on the image of the map you want to use. You can then save the file to your computer. It will be saved in a GIF file format, which you can then insert into your PowerPoint Presentation.
