Classroom Management Plan
By Josephine Anderson
PhilosophyI believe that all students are special and unique. I believe that they require
a safe and inviting environment to grow mentally, physically, and socially. This
requires a stimulating educational environment that integrates the interests of
ALL students. I aim to achieve a diverse classroom environment where we will
learn from those around us. My goal is based upon forming the entire person. I
believe in strengthening critical thinking skills by using empathy when solving
problems. I believe that each child has the capability to achieve great things, all
they need is a dedicated teacher to guide them along the way.
Love and Logic● Work with the students on MY terms.● Put the problem back into the
students hands.● Students learn to take responsibility.● Wait for students to cool down before
handling the situation○ Not now.○ Let’s talk about this later.
● Student takes the time to think through the problem.
Four Principles of L&L:1. Maintain the dignity of the
student and the teacher.2. Whenever possible, share the
control.3. Whenever possible, share the
thinking.4. Use empathy/consequences to
guide student behavior and self understanding.

➔ “When students feel enthusiastic or zestful, they are more disposed to engage in new behaviors
and tasks.”

➔ Keeping students engaged means:a. Games, Friendly Controversy, Interesting Facts, Questioning techniques, The tone and
pitch of your voice, And…sharing teacher stories

What if???My biggest fear is discussing issues with angry parents…
❏ Step 1: Collect all information.
❏ Step 2: Prove that you have heard it all.
❏ Step 3: Check for parent’s thinking state.
❏ Step 4: Problem Solve
