CLASSROOM ROUTINES• Daily planning

Calendar showing all of the daily activities. Poster board showing the schedule

• Rules Follow Directions quickly Raise your hand for permission to speak. Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat. Make smart choices. Hands, Eyes, and Feet in their place.

• Classroom monitoring Nonverbal cues, verbal cues, classroom activities, voice inflection, student’s progress.

• Record keeping Hard copy and a computer copy

• Classroom disruption Students, fire drills, phone calls, weather, school intercom,Parent’s/office staff, and a crying child.

The teacher can seek help for classroom management, establish classroom rules, establish classroom rewards, and solve the homework dilemma. In addition, this website offers educational articles from theorists such as Fred Jones, Dr. Ken Shore, and Joe Martin.

I liked this site because the lessons were fun and educational, and will enhance my future classroom management.

DETAILS: Substitute teachers can really be intimidated when teaching in a strange classroom. This site offers art and coloring pages, interviewing tips, classroom management strategies, books that kids love, and games just for kindergarten. This site is the substitute’s friend. It makes their life easier and gives them many tools when they have to substitute.

DETAILS: The website begins “Inside every great teacher, there is an even greater one waiting to come out. This site is based on Harry Wong’s philosophy and has many links to Harry Wong’s interviews. It also has different articles about how to improve student learning and the mentoring process. I like this site because it is very easy to follow and the articles are very helpful.

5. “Mr. Robert’s Classroom and The Super Teacher.com” is a very entertaining and educational site that appeals to the old and new teacher.

DETAILS: I like this website because it is very diverse and has such a broad range from cultural diversity, classroom management, and even Mr. Rogers!! There are tons of educational articles on classroom management, written by educators and veteran teachers. I like all of the moving animation on the site because I know that students love that as well. When clicking on the link to Mr. Rogers, a viewer can listen to all of his songs and even use them in his/her classroom. I like his songs because they teach students that they are special.
