i have had a busy career as a nurse and an

goals and became a nurse

my life has evolved to where i crave simple

pleasures.i live in a log home in the woods and

love watching the deer and turkey come into my

yard and play. what more can one want?

I was a later bloomer...socially shy - focused on grades waaaay too much! learned to relax and have fun in

college!

Celebrating 30th anniversary April 10th, 2012. Both daugter-in-laws are expecting our second and third

grandchildren year.

We currently have one grandson and both daugter-in-laws are expecting our second and third this year.

Joined the Navy in 1975 and have been supporting the DoD ever since. We love to travel, especially cruisin' and

are looking forward to retirement in Nov 2013. Our oldest son lives in MA, middle son is serving in the USN and currently stationed in CT, youngest living 10 miles away.

traveled a little more since our children graduated. What's left on your bucket list?

I'm not emptying my bucket ... I'm filling my bucket up...I've walked through a lava tube in Hawaii, visited

Rome, Italy....Cancun, Mexico where I swam with a dolphin, stood on the Continental Divide, hiked in Rocky Mountain National Park, drove through Death Valley, beat

breast cancer, had 2 great children, spoiled our grandchildren, made quilts, went on a cruise (not to be

repeated!)...made the best ever strawberry rhubarb pie...lost weight...found weight....rode an elephant...went to the Painted Desert and the Petrified Forest....played one

game of golf (we made up our own rules!)and best of all married my high school sweetheart...

John Michael, born 1987; Eleanor, born 1990

Birthday: October 10, 1954


I graduated from Harvard College in 1976. After that I

worked on a political campaign and for a U.S. Senator. I graduated from Harvard Law School in 1980. The best thing about law school was I met my wife, Betsy, there.

She was also in the class of 1980. After graduation we worked as clerks for the same judge on the Massachusetts

Supreme Court for one year. 1n 1981 we moved to Washington, D.C. where we have remained. Betsy has been with the same law firm, under different names, since

then. I was with a firm for three years and then joined the Department of Justice, where I've had various jobs, mostly

as an Assistant United States Attorney in Maryland and DC. I presently am the chief of the Violent Crime and Narcotic Trafficking Section in the DC US Attorney's Office.

Betsy and I both agree that the most important thing about our lives are our children. John Michael was born in

1987. Like his mother he went to the University of Michigan, graduating in 2009. He worked at various jobs for two years and is now a first year law student at

Harvard. Eleanor was born in 1990 and will be graduating from the University of Pennylvania in May 2012. She will

then be doing Teach for America in New York City for two years. After that she is talking about law school, although

we had hoped for something more noble for at least one of the children.


We're hoping to do more travel and maybe cultivate some hobbies. The law is fun, but between that and the rewarding task of raising children there hasn't been time

to have a lot of other distractions. Now is the time to begin to find some new interests. Retirement, probably not for

about 10 years.

time...I work when I want & play when I want.....Life is GOOD!


Traveling is still a big part of my life. Lumberjack festivals
