Classification of Primary Sources IISigla of Notes, Paragraphs, Details
Matteo V. d´Alfonso, Barbara K. Saile
Hyper allows us to identify areas in our pages or pictures
and to refer to them unambiguously
We offer a step deeper of granularity in the classification: we can classify notes, paragraphs and details

Classification of Notes
The classification of notes is set in three steps:1. Identification of the single note areas on
the page
2. Giving each area one siglum
3. Determining the area position on the
page
a topographical criterium: relating to the disposition of the areas on the page
2. Once identified, areas are numbered from the top to the bottom and clockwise. These numbers co-define the sigla in Hyper.

3. The position of the areas on the page it’s determined by a set of Cartesian coordinates
1. For the identification of note areas in HyperNietzsche we have used two criteria at the same time:
a semantic criterium: referring to the area contents

The position of each note on the page is now determined by the set of Cartesian coordinates defining the perimeter of the note
