Classification of Life taxonomy= science of classifying life Most scientists have agreed on a system consisting of 7 categories to classify all life on the

planet. From general to specific, they are:

Kingdom - Animalia

Phylum - Chordata

Class - Mammalia

Order - Primates

Family - Hominidae

Genus -Homo (always capital)

Species - sapiens (always lowercase)

In biology we will study all 5 kingdoms:1. Monera - prokaryotic cells (bacteria)2. Protista - unicellular eukaryotic cells3. Fungi- mold and mushrooms4. Plantae - multicellular algae and plants5. Animalia - multicellular organisms made of animal cells

a series of step-by-step questions that lead to a species name each step will only have 2 answers number of items 1 = number of steps

eg. If you have 4 things, you can only use 3 steps. Each step should lead to one species name.
