Sunday 30 January 7.30pmSteven Osborne, PianoAlina Ibragimova, ViolinAlban Gerhardt, Cello

From exhilarating concertos to delicate chamber works, from mainstream Beethoven,Mozart and Brahms to the rarefied worlds of Messiaen, Tippett and Britten, Steven Osborne is at home with the widest range of styles, to much critical acclaim.

The Times has written that Alina Ibragimova performs with “a mixture of totalabandonment and total control that is in no way contradictory” and that she is “destined to be a force in the classical music firmament for decades to come”.

Over the past decade, Alban Gerhardt has established himself among the greatestcellists of our time. His sound is unmistakable and his interpretations are distinguished intheir originality; the cello starts to sing under his hands.

Combine the three and you have a formidable trio. This, their second tour together, includes recitals at Wigmore Hall and Bridgewater Hall and is part of the StevenOsborne’s ‘Schubert Series’.
