PRINCIPAL’S REPORT
Education Week I had the pleasure of attending the Education Week Opening yesterday at Bathurst Public School. Our five student leaders were presented with a certificate for their excellence in leadership. Our School Captain Layla presented a speech about what she loves about being a student at Raglan PS. Thank you to those families who were able to attend our Education Week celebrations today. It is always a pleasure to see how many families support us by attending these school events. Our SRC representatives and P & C Executive received an education week certificate of recognition for their support of our school. Girls Touch The girls competed in the NSW PSSA Touch knockout on Friday playing Bathurst South PS. The girls lost a close match in extra time going down 3-2. Well done! District Athletics Good luck to our 51 athletes who are representing the school at the District Carnival. There is a prediction of rain and possible snow. Please make sure your child has warm clothing and a rug to sit on. If the carnival is postponed a message will be posted on our Facebook page and Schoolstream. Raglan Readers It was great to see many of our student’s younger brothers and sisters presented with a book today as part of the Raglan Readers program. Thank you to Michelle Urquhart and Amy Dalton for your work in ensuring this act of kindness continues. PRINCIPALS RECOGNITION Thank you Mrs Thompson for coaching and managing our girl’s touch team. Thank you Ms Willott and Sharon Adams for organising and coaching our School Athletics team.
Working together as partners in the education of your child.

LIBRARY NEWS
What an amazing display of book characters at school today! I have never seen so many wonderful, creative costumes! The students looked incredible. Our morning parade was a huge success and it was terrific to have our pre-schoolers and toddlers join in too. A big thank you to all the library monitors who helped to organise this huge event! Thank you also to the many parents who helped to organise a fabulous costume. Now to start planning for next year............ Nichole Wade Teacher Librarian
