Education is changing and new initiatives are being generated all over the world to embrace new societal challenges and demands. Nowadays, students can participate in a classroom through a physical door or through the internet. And not only are traditional students attending these classes, but also those students who are parents and/or work full time.

The graduates of the different certificates offered by the Laureate Faculty Development Program have pondered upon this new reality; they have deepened their understanding and have shared their experiences and concerns in forums where globalization, profusion and critical thinking have been the main focus points.

With this graduation, we are celebrating a huge success brought about by the efforts of several parties: we celebrate the instructors who used their talents to motivate their colleagues, who brought their enthusiasm to the programs, and who ensured each courses efficiency by supporting its activities. Furthermore, we congratulate the participants who have now graduated and commend them for adapting their daily schedules while seeking support from their families, since time dedicated to the programs is time away from them.

We celebrate each Laureate institution, their academic leaders, directors and coordinators, for supporting the faculty members in this great achievement. Together we are accomplishing our mission of promoting excellence, stimulating curiosity and strengthening Laureates learning process.

Today we close a cycle that leads to a new one one in which applying the knowledge acquired and being academically generous should be the main attributes that distinguish our programs graduates. Let us not forget what originally set us off on this adventure: to be better educators, be sensitive to the needs and interests of our students, and create experiences that involve them and mold them to better appreciate what is necessary to be a successful student in this day and age.

I want to encourage you to apply what you have learned, and to maintain an attitude of continuous improvement since it is imperative to stay up to date and become better educators.

We are very proud to congratulate this exclusive group of graduates who share the commitment of Laureate International Universities of promoting excellence in higher education.
