This winter holidays, let us all reflect at the year gone by and rejoice at

the beginning of another New Year! Let us make the New Year

resolutions and make the New Year 2017 a grand and glorious year for

all of us.

There is a lot you can do to make your vacations more interesting,

meaningful and full of fun.

A few guidelines for you to be more confident and self-sufficient:

THE JOY OF READING: Cultivate the habit of daily reading of 20-30

minutes of a self-selected book. Parents are encouraged to listen to

him/her read, or share the reading.

LEARNING BY DOING:

1. Practice packing your school bag according to the time table.

2. Keep your room clean and well organised.

3. Help your parents and grandparents with daily chores.

Parents are encouraged to assist in the following ways:

• Provide a quiet space and time for your child to complete his/her

work.

• Review and discuss your child’s responses. Provide positive

• Ensure that the completed work is labelled and submitted in a

folder to the class teacher on January 16, 2017.

CREATIVE HANDS AT WORK

ANIMAL PICTIONARY

Make an attractive Animal Pictionary (using A4 size sheets) and

enhance your vocabulary. Paste pictures of any 10 animals and write

any one interesting fact about each of them. Example of one animal is

given below.

BE AN ECO-BUDDY

Plant a tree and nurture it. Watch them grow. Record your observation

on an A4 size sheet.

CLEANLINESS TASK

Click picture of yourself doing atleast three

activities at home showing your contribution in

helping your parents and paste them on an A4 size

sheet. Write 3-4 lines for each activity saying why

you liked doing it.
