Stop & Shop is the better buy because the price is cheaper per apple. Hint…they have a lower unit price.

.You will be preparing to host a dinner with three

of your friends or family. We have many deals here at SmartFoods. Your job is to find the unit price of all the products we offer, so you can decide how to best spend your money for tonight’s dinner party. Your job is to buy dinner for four people (3 people plus you.) You choose the menu and you have $30.00 to spend at SmartFoods Grocery Store.

Objectives

• Students will be able to determine the Unit Rate of all items listed at SmartFoods grocery store.

• Students will be able to plan a meal for four people, following a budget of $30.00

• Expectations• Students need to buy:

– 1 pound of steak, chicken or fish – 1 side dish (potatoes, pasta, rice, etc)– 4 servings of vegetables or fruits– Dessert for 4 people– 1 package of napkins for dinner (you ran out this afternoon)– 1 box of cereal and milk for breakfast the next morning

• Don’t forget to SHOW ALL WORK! (Attach any work done on a separate sheet of paper)
