� Read Chapter I
� Find at least 10 difficult words and write their meaning

English Language Chapter 1:- The sentence
� Read the chapter thoroughly. � Learn the definitions of “A
Sentence” and different kind of
sentence. � Make the flowchart showing different types of
sentences
(i) On the basis of function. (ii) On the basis of
structure.
� Do the exercises given in page 6, 7 and 8. Do the following
[I] Write a composition (about 200-250 words) on the following
topics:-
(i) A memorable train journey. (ii) My favourite game. (iii)
Actions speak louder than words. (iv) A picnic on the
riverside.
[II] Letter Writing:-
(i) Write a letter to your friend inviting him/her on lunch at
your residence.
(ii) Write a letter to the commissioner of police inviting him
as a chief guest of your school’s
Annual Sports Day.
