How to Treat Your Pimples and Pustules

A CLARO treatment consists of two 6-second applications. Each 6-second application has 12 light flashes.

    Before You Treat:

Charge your CLARO 15 hours before using it for the first time. Unplug your CLARO prior to use.

Make sure you are not sensitive to light. Check out the Light Sensitivity Test on the previous page to find out if you are.

    After You Treat:

The CLARO has a timeout feature that starts after the secondconsecutive application. The Light Ring will blink for 60 seconds toallow the bulb to cool down.

Only use clean hands when you touch your skin right after a complete treatment (2 applications).

Wait at least 8 hours before you perform another treatment on thesame pimple or pustule.

Before you treat again, look at and feel the pimple or pustule you previously treated to determine if more treatments are needed.

Can you no longer see and feel it? If no longer there, stop treating the pimple or pustule with your CLARO.

    Key Safety Reminders:

Do not treat the same pimple or pustule with more than 2 complete treatments (4 applications) during any 7-day period.

Repeating the treatments more than twice on each pimple or pustule within a 7-day period could cause a burn or blister.

When You Are Ready To Treat:

    Remember the following:

Each CLARO application lasts 6 seconds and has 12 flashes.

To get a full CLARO treatment, you need to do 2 CLARO applications, back-to-back.

We separate the applications to ensure the heat from the bulbdoes not become uncomfortable.

Start the second application right after the first application for best results. Waiting more than 5 minutes between applications allows the skin to cool too much. This may make your completed treatments less effective.

Follow the Operating Instructions on pages 22-23 to perform your two applications (one treatment) properly.
