both programs.

Customers are automatically screened for USF through

LIHEAP. Income eligibility lower then LIHEAP.

Customers may get USF for both Gas and Electric or only one. Customers can receive from $5 to $150 combined.

Applications are accepted year round.

Annual Consumption may be wrong because of meter reads….see an error send an email to USF Billing!

USF Intake agencies have 60 days to complete an application. Customers that are Denied should go back to LIHEAP agency.

It can take up to two billing cycles before the USF benefit appears on a customer’s bill.

FSP allows customers to earn forgiveness on their overdue bills the very first time they are in the USF program. NO SECOND CHANCES!

FSP is managed by PSE&G-Send questions to USF Billing in PSE&G Outlook-Do not send customers back to LIHEAP/USF agency

Customer should pay ‘Amount to Pay’ - not the entire bill Customer can be shut-off for bills accumulated after FSP start.

New Jersey Lifeline is a State-funded program that provides $225 credit toward natural gas and electric utility bills - $112.50 per service

Eligibility - Senior Citizens at least 65 year old or disabled adults at least 18 years of age who receive Social Security Disability benefits.

Applications take 8-12 Weeks to Process. Income Qualifications (not household income):
