Qtz, feldspar and biotite recognized. Grades into next. 116.0-1^5.5:NOVACULITE. A very siliceous, dense quartzite. Whitish
gray, very hard. Some feldspathic and pyroxeniticmaterial in places.
1^5.5-163.O:GRANULITE. A recrystallized arkose with granitic texture.A quartz diorite composition - quartz, plagioclase,and greenish flecks of chloritic material. Going intofeldspar porphyry towards the edges.
163.0-220.5:NOVACULITE. As above but more laminated with alternatingfeldspathic and siliceous material. Somewhat argillaceous!from 207 to 220.
220.5-232.0:MI!!ERALIZED ZONE. A whitish siliceous rock, f-grd, withsome carbonate and feldspar. Disseminated and blebbypyrite and pyrrhotite. Minor chalcopyrite.
232.0-235.ONOVACULITE. Somewhat argillaceous. 235.0-272.0:NEPHRITIC TACTITE. Dk green, dense, hard. Jade-like
appearance. At first, somewhat patchy with light greenmaterial (qtz, epidote, carbonate). Considerable garnetin places.2^5.0-2^6.0: Considerable pyrrhotite in heavy streaks
