Size J-10 (6.0 mm) crochet hook

Special Stitch 1: Tr cluster

YO twice, insert hook in first indicated st, pull up a loop, (YO and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice, *YO twice and

insert hook in next indicated st, pull up a loop, (YO and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice; rep from * once. YO and

pull through all loops on hook. Tr cluster complete. Counts as 1 tr.

Special Stitch 2: Tr mini cluster

YO twice, insert hook in first indicated st, pull up a loop, (YO and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice, skip next

indicated stitch, YO and insert hook in last indicated st, pull up a loop, (YO and pull through 2 loops on hook) twice,

YO and pull through all loops on hook. Tr mini cluster complete. Counts as 1 tr.

Ch 5 (first 4 ch count as 1 tr now and throughout).

Row 1. 6 tr in 5th ch from hook. 7 tr.

Row 2. Ch 5 (count as 1 tr and 1 ch); turn. Tr in first tr, *ch 1, skip next tr, tr in next tr; rep from * across to last 2

tr. Ch 1, skip next tr, (tr, ch 1, tr) in last tr. 6 tr.

Row 3. Ch 4; turn. 2 tr in first tr, tr in first ch-1 sp, *tr in next tr, tr in next ch-1 sp; rep from * across to last tr, 3 tr

in last tr. 15 tr.

Rows 4-13. Rep rows 2 & 3. 55 tr. Note: Each even-numbered row will increase by 4 tr from the previous even-

numbered row, while each odd-numbered row will increase by 8 tr from the previous odd-numbered row.

*If a wider clapochet is desired, continue to repeat rows 2 & 3 until the desired width is acheived.

Row 14. Ch 3; turn. Skip first 2 tr, tr in next tr (beg ch 3 and first tr count as 1 tr), *ch 1, skip next tr, tr in next tr;

rep from * across to last 2 tr. Ch 1, skip next tr, (tr, ch 1, tr) in last tr. 28 tr.

Row 15. Ch 4; turn. 2 tr in first tr, tr in first ch-1 sp, *tr in next tr, tr in next ch-1 sp; rep from * across to last 2 tr.

Tr cluster over next tr, last ch-1 sp, and last tr. 55 tr.

Rows 16-55. Rep rows 14 & 15.

*If the number of repeats of rows 2 & 3 was increased to make a wider clapochet, then continue to repeat rows 56 &
