work with standard PCs using standard Windows* conventions.

You will be given unlimited attempts to master this assessment.

Please follow the directions for returning your Student Key

Diskette listed on page 6.

The assessment may run slower on some computers than other

computers.

Clicking once on a button will activate it. Do not continue clicking

on a button because each click will produce a response. Please be

patient!

After the feedback appears on the screen, please click on the screen,

then click on the next button to move to the next question.

You MAY NOT exit the assessment until you complete the it. At

that time, you may take the assessment again or exit.

You must obtain a score of 80% to master this assessment.

The Student Key Diskette is encrypted and any attempt to alter the

information on the Student Key Diskette will result in an invalid

assessment and no certificate will be issued until you send the

Student Key Diskette back to be reset and retake the test.

The installation procedure takes less than 10 minutes.

DO NOT load the assessment on more than one machine. Your

results will not be valid if you use more than one machine.

Insert Diskette I, CL4403, Autoplex® System 1000 Series II Cell

Site Installation into your a: drive.

Start Windows application if not already started (type win at the C:\prompt).

Click on File in the Program Manager menu bar (at the top of the

screen). A menu will appear.

From the File menu in the Program Manager window, choose Run.

A dialog box will appear.

In the dialog box, type: A:\setup in the Command Line box, then

click on OK.

You will see "Installing CL4403 Assessment". Click on Next.

"Select Directory" screen will then appear. Click on Next.

A "Confirm Entry" screen will appear. Click on Yes.

Next is the "Setup Options" screen. Click on Typical install. This

will begin the installation.

Follow the prompts to insert diskettes as requested. You may not

be required to install all of the diskettes included.

Upon the completion of the installation of CL4403 Assessment you

will be asked to click on Finish.

To start the assessment, click on Start. Move your mouse to

Programs, then to CL4403 Assessment, then to Autoplex® System

1000 Series II Cell Site Installation Assessment and click. This

will begin your assessment. Make sure that the Student Key

Diskette is in your A: drive.

HOW TO GET CREDIT FOR TmS ASSESSMENT

The enclosed Student Key Diskette MUST be used for assessment

results to receive credit for this course. If you return your

assessment on a diskette other than the one enclosed, your results

will not be scored.

Upon completion of your assessment, place your Student Key

Diskette in the enclosed, pre-addressed mailer and return to:

Summary sheet A summary sheet will be generated at the end of your assessment

that you may print. Please print this sheet to serve as your

temporary record of completion. You MUST be directly connected

to a printer or connected to a system printer to use this option. If

you are NOT connected to a printer DO NOT use this option. You

will receive an error message.

A certificate will be issued to you upon successfully completing the

assessment in the name and address provided in your registration

information. This information will be taken directly from your

registration, so please enter this information as you wish your

certificate to appear.

NOTE: Credit for course completion will only be given for

persons who have registered and paid for the course materials. If

you have reviewed a copy of the course obtained by your

supervisor or peers and would like to take the assessment and to

receive credit for the course, you may register by calling 1-888-

LUCENTS, prompt 2, and specifying course CL4403.
