For any given location on the earth the sun movement varies along two paths:
A) Daily east to west movement
B) Seasonal variation in the path (north south shift)
A) Fixed MountThe panels are fixed facing a pre-determined direction while the position of the sun keeps changing.
B) Single Axis TrackerMoves the solar pv panels from east to west during the day, in accordance with the movement of the sun for a particular location.
C) Dual Axis TrackerMove the panels east to west as well as north to south in accordance with the movement of the sun for a particular location.

n WHAT IS SOLAR TRACKING
Energy yield from a solar installation is dependent on
the amount of solar radiation and its angle of
incidence. While the amount of irradience is fairly
constant for a given location, it is the angle of
incidence that changes, as illustrated in Fig. 1
Solar tracking is a technology that moves solar panels
along the sun's path to ensure a near optimal angle of
incidence at all times of the year. The documented
increase in yield by this automation can be up to 40%
in case of a dual axis tracker for a given geographical
location.
Single axis trackers address the daily east to west
movement only (Fig. 3). Whereas dual axis trackers
account for the north south movement as well (Fig. 4).
n ASUN 2 AXIS TRACKER HIGHLIGHTS
Designed & developed In collaboration with IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) Delhi.
Highly optimised structural design resulting in lower structural weight and highly competitive cost.
Uses self lubricating polymer bearings for minimal maintenance costs.
Modular design for ease of installation, higher plant availability and unprecedented terrain adaptability.
Designed to withstand wind speeds upto 170 kmph.
Addresses all the shortcomings of a single axis tracker.
Increases yield by upto 32% depending on location & climatic conditions
